So I have an average of between a 16-20 day cycle, I came off the pill 9 months ago.
I am currently on day 26 of my cycle (longest cycle yet) at about 13dpo roughly. I have been experiencing for the past 2 weeks now, really sore boobs especially the nipples... I have been getting alot of headaches which I don't normally get.
The hcg test is a bfn, and my doctor won't even see me for another 9 days..
Please help ....

16-20 days cycle are very, very short. Everything under 21 days is considered as a short cycle. When the follicular phase is too short, there's simply not enough time for the eggs to mature and develop. Do you track your ovulation?
As you just recently came off the pill, maybe your body is now starting to balance your hormones and you will get back to a normal cycle length?

Yes I agree that it's a short cycle. But doctors never seemed concerned so neither was I . I was told they would only check hormones after a year of ttc.
I did track ovulation for 4 months and found that I was ovulating at around CD8, but this month I ovulated at CD13...
YES!! I'm hoping that my cycles are now lengthening out and that it's nothing to be concerned over. Just not used to being this late🤷🏾‍♀️

You can def. get pregnant with a short cycle, but the chances are higher, the longer your cycle is going to be. It's nothing to worry about per se, only when TTC.
So you know you ovulated at CD 13? That would make you 12dpo now? Or probably 11dpo, depending on how you tested?

Yes I understand with a short cycle ttc can be difficult, but I got a pos ovulation on CD12 (easy@home tests) which means ovulation on cd13, meaning I'm now 12-13dpo roughly 🤷🏾‍♀️ I usually get pms like sore boobs ans aches but never for this amount of time . Just a waiting game now for af, a bfp or the doctor.

That makes sense then, right. On the positive side - if your BFP won't come this month - your follicular phase is perfect if longer than 12 days!

Yess very true, I'm hoping this is my cycle lengthening out abit, nothing worse than having 2 periods a month ! Just happy to feel like this is a normal cycle, even if I don't get a bfp ! Thankyou!!!

True! Once a month is enough :) Good luck!
