Making a new thread from the March group ♥️

I'm on CD 1, Cycle 11 of TTC our first 👶🏼
Had a MC in February
Ectopic last July with right tube removal
I have endometriosis (and I suspect low progesterone)

Trying to stay positive and think fresh cycle, my body probably needed this after the MC and its a fresh start ✨

Baby dust ✨🤞🏼✨🤞🏼✨🤞🏼✨🤞🏼✨

I'm CD 5 so will be starting 'the purple method' again tomorrow!!! 6, 10, 12 and 14 for us!!! Gonna try pre seed and have acupuncture booked for day 17. Exactly what we did to conceive ds. Fingers crossed 🤞
FreckledMouse · 09/03/2022 17:51

Welcome @PrettyPolly92 ♥️

What's the Purple Method @Purple29 ?
I got pregnant both times using a loose versions of the SMEP (unfortunately both losses) so DTD every third day from end of AF until Peak then on Peak Day, Day After, Day after that, missed a day, then once more.

So for me that's CD : 5,8,11,14,16,17,18,20

@FreckledMouse it's the method my fertility Dr told me to use. We had been trying for 2 years with no luck for my DS. The dr told me to stop peeing on sticks and that because my cycle was a regular 28 days, that ov was likely on CD14.

So he said for a 28 day cycle to dtd on days 7 (more to empty dh of any old swimmers) then nothing (especially dh) until CD 11 (give enough time for mature swimmers to build and to leave some lying in wait) Then again on days 13 and 15 (day before to leave more lying and day after just incase I ov late)

I was pregnant 2 months of this way. When we started trying again (now 27 day cycle, hence days 6, 10, 12 and 14) again after 2 months (ectopic this time) its worked for friends of mine too.

So he said you don't want to dtd every day as you want the swimmers to mature slightly (think they are stronger and live longer?!)

You just have to adjust the days according to your cycle really?

sherbetmelon · 09/03/2022 19:43

@Purple29 that's really interesting! I'd definitely be up for giving it a go.
My cycles suck, I ovulate around day 25 of a (usual) 31 day cycle. My cycle this month was 37 days :( so it's sooo hard to know. I got an almost peak on an OPK on day 14 then a proper build up and peak for day 25 in my last cycle.

FreckledMouse · 09/03/2022 19:44

Oooo okay @Purple29
That's really interesting 🤔
I might join you on that this cycle.

I do have to track because my cycles alter slightly but usually peak about CD 16.

So I would do CD 9, 13, 16 & 18 ?

Please can I join in this thread ☺️✨

Me and my partner started ttc for our first baby in August 2021, fell pregnant quickly in September. First early scan at 8 weeks we discovered a missed miscarriage. What happened next was complicated, and a very difficult experience (physically and mentally).

We spent time healing and stopped trying until January of this year. Booked a relaxing holiday, DTD on ovulation days and came back with a positive pregnancy test. 4 days later I started to bleed and the test was negative. A chemical pregnancy.

We both decided to try again in February, as we knew at this point we wouldn’t get any help from the GP until we’d experienced 3 reoccurring losses. No pregnancy in February and my period arrived as normal on the 1st of March.

My cycles are pretty regular 28/29 day with ovulation around 14/15. I have gotten myself a bit obsessed by it all, and I wish that it didn’t have to be this way. But we are both desperate for our first baby and know that timing is important.

I have found so much comfort in these posts and knowing how many women have been through similar experiences. It can feel a very lonely time.

So, I’m CD9 and we will be DTD pretty much every day up until the 20th.

Good luck to everyone and I hope you all get a BFP very soon ✨✨✨

sherbetmelon · 09/03/2022 20:23

@Lifeafterloss22 so sorry to hear of your losses :'( sending baby dust your way, I really hope this is your month x

Purple29 · 09/03/2022 20:31

@FreckledMouse yeah if peak at day 16 means you ov on day 17 then those days would be right by that method. Its not a guarantee but I found that it helped me relax a bit and we weren't over tired from dtd every other day. It kept it a bit more fun and enjoyable.

Sparklesurprise29 · 09/03/2022 20:31

Hi everyone can I join😀 on CD5 this month, banning myself from using any opks, just going to keep dtd regularly 💖
So sorry for your losses @lifeafterloss22 ☹️hoping this is your month💖 I'm ttc #1 after a MC at 8 weeks in December Flowers

Purple29 · 09/03/2022 20:33

My cycles were pretty much clockwork. If your cycle is 31 days then the days for you would be 10, 14, 16 and 18.

For a 37 day it would be 16, 20, 22 and 24. If that helps?

BeeYellowMumma · 09/03/2022 20:54

Hi all, joining from March too. Tentatively though, will me a last min decision to try this month or not. Seems daft, but have a holiday around when a potential due date would be and know I'd be C section this time around.

My body played such horrible tricks on me the last cycle and currently in agony with CD3.

sherbetmelon · 09/03/2022 22:47

Hi @BeeYellowMumma I'm really unsure what to do this month, Dec is a really busy time in our family birthday/celebration wise so not sure if I want to add more pressure to that 😖 it's so hard because I'm desperate to be pregnant again.

sherbetmelon · 09/03/2022 22:48

@Purple29 thank you! X

Bluemilan · 10/03/2022 07:21

I'm hoping on if that's ok?
11dpo and bfn so just waiting for af to arrive. I find time between bfn and cd1 soo frustrating!
Good luck this cycle everyone 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Greenwhale · 10/03/2022 07:52

Joining as AF has arrived today. Never thought I'd go for a Christmas baby but I will take any due date to have a baby now so we're going to give it our best shot this month!

BeeYellowMumma · 10/03/2022 08:00

@sherbetmelon it's the same here, we were talking about going for it, but know how busy the month is, and selfishly or not this holiday has been there for 18 months to do a Christmas themed one with our daughter before she goes school the following year. So really wouldn't want to be too close to it with a c section and newborn! December is always a tricky month and I feel your conflict!!

Lifeafterloss22 · 10/03/2022 20:39

Ladies, can I ask if anybody does anything different in the two week wait? I am a keen runner, which helps me physically and mentally. I have spent a lot of time reading about implantation etc and not over exerting yourself in that period.

One half of me thinks I can’t put my life on hold every month and the other says do as much as you can! Just wondering if you do anything different? Or if you still to exercise or anything else?

Purple29 · 10/03/2022 21:03

@Lifeafterloss22 don't know if this helps but the month I conceived my ds, I was in the tww and I did the beast race?! A 10km obstacle race where you are dunked into and swim out of Loch Ness?!

Lifeafterloss22 · 10/03/2022 21:31

Thankyou @Purple29!

Purple29 · 10/03/2022 22:31

@Lifeafterloss22

Thankyou *@Purple29*!
Your welcome. I think what it means by over exert yourself is its not the time to start running, but if your already a keen runner it should be fine. X
FreckledMouse · 11/03/2022 00:56

Hey everyone ♥️
How are we all ?
I'm CD 5 today, AF has left the building so bracing myself for the fertile window 😅🤞🏼

Bluemilan · 11/03/2022 07:13

Hey @FreckledMouse . Af arrived 2 days early so cd 1 for me! Glad she's left the building for you!

alwaysseeingstars · 11/03/2022 08:43

Morning @FreckledMouse & all Smile
Glad AF has left - now you get the more fun part of the month!

@Bluemilan sorry to hear about AF, fingers crossed for the next one 🤞🏼

Finally O day today (CD21) after 9 days of flashing smiles then a static yesterday (yep I know I shouldn't have carried on haha, I'm still in the process of trying to understand my cycle!) - managed to keep a sleepy DH awake last night to at least DTD! Not expecting much as only DTD yesterday and CD16 but 🤞🏼
