Has anyone tried Proov or Mira?

I’ve been trying to conceive for more than two years and have PCOS. I’ve been using OvuSense (which tracks basal body temperature) for the past six months and get a peak each cycle followed by my period ten/ eleven days later (even though my cycles have varied between 30 and 42 days).

I had read that OPKs are not recommended for women with PCOS but Proov and Mira both say they are suitable for tracking Oestrogen and Progesterone markers (but not LH) even if you have PCOS - at this point I think it’s more likely to be useful for finding out more about my cycle while waiting for my fertility appointment than confirming ovulation but they’re quite expensive so wondered if anyone had any experience of either?

Hiya!

I've been using the Mira for a couple of months now and really like it. I have endometriosis and have super irregular cycles following the removal of my IUD. I'm using it to work out if I'm ovulating whilst TTC and it's great; no wondering what's going on because it's all clearly laid out for you.

Thank you @theendomonologues and @Charl881 I’m still thinking about which one (if any) to get, it’s difficult to know if I’m better saving the cash to put towards IVF if that’s what’s recommended or if having the data would be useful but good to know you’re finding it useful @theendomonologues

Hi! I have been using Mira from this month and it’s good but also super confusing if you don’t follow the normal cycle pattern. I have the fertility plus and confirm strips. Most strangely I haven’t had an LH peak but my progesterone has risen above 5 so I have no clue what’s going on there. I’ve long suspected PCOS but never spoken to a doctor about it. I’ve attached my current chart if you want to see how they come out for real (I can’t find many examples online!). Also… I got the analyser on eBay so that saved a bit :-)

Thank you @els05 that’s interesting to see your chart, I’m still not sure and thinking I’ll pay for the initial consultation with a clinic rather than buy the monitor this cycle and wait and see what they say before deciding to invest.

It’s so expensive isn’t it. I don’t think we’ll be able to go fully private so while I wait for the NHS referral I thought I’d try and get as much info as possible. The device And one set of sticks was £60 on eBay so quite a good saving and I figure I can sell the analyser on after
