6+1.. is there any hope ☹️

6+1 today... pretty red bleeding 😔

I spotted light pink for 24 hours 4 days ago, stopped, then started again 2 days ago, it stayed pretty light and only when wiping. I did test yesterday again and got a 3+ weeks so assume my HCG was still pretty high. GP booked me for an early scan at EPU on 8th..

But today it's worsened. Red blood. Still only on wiping but a lot more, I felt it today. I've still felt morning sickness today, tender boobs etc. But I guess I'm preparing for the worst having had a previous MC at around the same time 3 years ago 😭

Any hope stories with bleeding like this? X

Hi, just wanted to respond. Because I am literally in the same situation right now. I could have written this myself. I was quite hopeful it was only spotting until this afternoon. But now there is a lot more fresh looking blood. Still only on wiping but feels like a lot more.

So no positive (or negative) stories just solidarity xxx

Oh @Pepin83 I'm so sorry to hear. Mine got worse still so I'm not hopeful. See how today goes and up to the EPU tomorrow where I guess they will confirm. Sending you a hug and positive thoughts xx ✨️💐

I had an absolutely huge bleed at 7 weeks xame through my jeans it was that heavy I was devastated but that baby will be two next month the nurses put it down to my period being due around that time although we had ivf early bleeding is common don't lose hope good luck ❤

I had bright red bleeding with my now 6 month old baby and it was utterly terrifying! Never knew a cause for it but all was well xx

I bled around this time too . Dd is now two.

Hi @IsabelHerna I wasn't brave enough for the scan. I got really anxious and was still bleeding so just didn't want the aftermath. The EPU have told me to test Monday and they will call.

Bleeding seems to have pretty much stopped. Still feeling sicky with a tender boobs (not as much though). I did do a clearblue digi today which is still showing 3+ weeks... so kinda just feel like I'm waiting for everything to drop off. It's really tough, the wait, but I don't have any hope at this point x

You really do need to be scanned I’m afraid, just to put your mind at rest and know either way.

Pregnancy tests don’t just show neg the moment a miscarriage happens. I am not trying to scare you- but I had a miscarriage with a gestational age of 6+3 and it took two weeks for my clearblue test to drop to 1-2 weeks, then another 3 weeks to get a complete negative. This was after taking pills to induce a medical miscarriage as my body wouldn’t let go.

Please arrange your scan. I hope you have a good outcome.

I have had this go both ways. One was a big bleed at 6 weeks and that one is now 23 years old. The other was a much smaller bleed initially that came and went but ended in miscarriage shortly after.

As PP mentioned, pregnancy tests are not reliable in relation to miscarriage - I was still testing positive 4 weeks after miscarrying and the EPU said that was perfectly normal. The HCG leaves your system very slowly in my experience.

The only way to know for sure is to have a scan so I would get that rearranged as soon as you can, just in case you need any medical management.

I just wanted to pop on because everyone took time to reply and were really lovely. I finally braved a scan today as the bleeding slowed and has been more on off spotting.

We saw a healty little peanut with a strong heartbeat 😭 measuring 8+2

The pain and bleeding was due to a haemorrhage just outside of the sac, which they hope will pass or be absorbed soo . To say I was in shock would be the least of how I feel but I'm over the moon ❤ keep the hope xx
