To try or not to try....,

We are considering TTC #2 next month. For baby #1 we fell the first month trying (I know this may not be relevant but it is making me more aware I need to be prepared that it could happen immediately.)

If we start trying this month then baby would be due about 4 days after baby #1s second birthday.

Is this a good or a bad thing? Any pros or cons I need to consider? Maybe we will hold off a month or two but I am really keen to get trying incase it takes a while.

People with children with birthdays close together does this present any difficulties?

I had to do a double take and check I hadn't written this post myself. I was about to post one with the same title (although slightly different issue!) 😂

I would still try. There's no guarantee you'll be successful and if you are then you'll work around it. I do know a few people who have kids with birthdays close together and it's not a massive issue.

Personally I would skip this month

My brother was born 6 days before my second birthday and we are really close. We loved having our birthdays close together because we were able to share a big day out and there wasn't really any jealousy about 1 getting presents and the other not getting any.

I don't know the age gap but if it's close, joint parties/birthday trips?

Just go for it. I had my first on my first cycle and TTC another one for 1,5 years and nothing.
I personally don’t care about dates as long as I get pregnant at all.
