Hi everyone,

I'm super new to all this so any advise or stories are much appreciated!

I had my implant removed 2 and half weeks ago for the sole purpose of TTC. I've had implant contraception since I was 16 and I'm now 24. During that time I never had a period and before I had the implant I never really tracked my cycle so I've no clue what to expect.

I've been testing for ovulation ever since I had the implant removed and ovulated on Friday I believe (test line was darker than control line). Me and my partner dtd on the Thursday.

This is where I'm confused.. yesterday I was 6dpo and started with light pink spotting and as the day progressed it looked like normal AF colour but seemed too light to be AF and continued today. From what I remember before the implant my AF was never this light. I have very dull cramping and yesterday had left pelvic pain but nothing more and I just don't know what to think? I've read up about IB but heard its not very common so not I'm sat here thinking my period came a week early???

I dont want to get my hopes up but I have my hen party this weekend and I'm sat on the fence whether I should drink alcohol or not because I don't want it to affect anything. Does anyone have any ideas when I should test? I was going to do one on Saturday morning before the party just to be sure but my mind is racing 100mph and I really would love some advice just to ease my mind.

Thanks xx

Hi! Would this be the first time of AF? It could be just getting back to normal, but I would have the same thoughts as you.

You are 7DPO today and it's pretty early to test and get a result you can trust. On Saturday, when you need to know in order to know what to do or not to do, you will be 9DPO. From what I've seen, some girls do get results then, but it's still super early. You can trust more the result at 12DPO, but still, testing on the first day of your missed period is the best. (... not many of us wait that long, but I had to mention it lol!)

Since you've started TTC, if you'd like, you could join the thread "obsessive testers welcome!" The girls there are very helpful and we all help each other with their tests.

Baby dust!! ❤️❤️
