@Sassy144 that's tough, I've found it hard with my friends who are having their second baby / quite far along pregnant but it's fine to feel like that x

flowergarden16 · 23/03/2022 13:02

Hi @Frida9 sorry to hear that :-(

If you are over 35 do speak to GP now. If under they say a year.

Everything I've heard suggests chances of getting pregnant after a miscarriage are really high, but it's also really scary (as you'll see from this thread).

All in it together

Sassy144 · 23/03/2022 13:12

@flowergarden16 thank you, I feel so guilty for feeling sad about it, but I think it's because the dates are so close - so everything is a reminder of where I'd have been at this point 😞 I really hope I'm pregnant again by the time the due date comes around so I can feel better about it all xx

flowergarden16 · 23/03/2022 13:18

I'm sure you will be @Sassy144

I hid from my friend yesterday when I saw her on the street as she is pregnant (about five weeks behind where I would have been, our sons are three weeks apart) and couldn't bare to see her. Think it's normal!

My best friend has infertility and will not have natural children. She found my pregnancy very hard but was really open about it. X

Sassy144 · 23/03/2022 13:26

@flowergarden16 oh bless you, I totally understand and you're right it is normal. I do think it helps to be open about it.

Lottie2267 · 23/03/2022 13:28

Glad to hear @flowergarden16 been thinking of you today.

@Frida9 welcome. Everyone here is super supportive! Hope you’re ok and so sorry for your loss. Everyone here has been through loss and I think most of us have been through multiple losses. I think how you’re feeling is completely normal. Miscarriage and loss is unfortunately so so common so please don’t feel alone. I think the timescales on fertility are pretty long so if you did want to go down that route maybe private would be better although I think that’s very expensive and all depends whether you can afford to. I can only speak from experience but time is a healer in my case. I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks in December and then a chemical pregnancy last month. I feel a lot better now than I did last month. Give yourself some time. Glad to hear your other half is supportive xxx

Lottie2267 · 23/03/2022 13:41

@Sassy144 ahhhh I feel your pain, I hope you’re ok. My friend was also pregnant and was due about a month after I was due. However, she lost her baby just a couple of weeks ago at five and a half months. Absolutely horrendous. On top of that, her sister is now pregnant so she has such mixed emotions. I think it’s completely normal to feel how you’re feeling, you’re not alone xxx

Sassy144 · 23/03/2022 13:49

Thank you @Lottie2267. Your poor friend, how awful 😞 xxx

calimc83 · 23/03/2022 16:51

@Sassy144 don't feel guilty lovely - grief isn't rational. I saw my friend after a few weeks the other day and felt physically sick as she actually looked pregnant and we should have been roughly the same dates. It's not her fault and I love her and I felt awful for it.

I'm having a rough day. AF really caught me off guard and I really thought it had happened this month. And then worrying about the super short luteal phase hasn't helped. I'm not going to track anything next month. I'm going away in April for 2 weeks so I'm going to just take a proper break from it all even though it kills me to know I'll be pushing another month ahead. I need to get out of my head. Now if only I could take a holiday from my body! 👍🏻

peachiekeen · 23/03/2022 18:22

@Frida9 I'm sorry you're joining us lovely. I was also 6 weeks with my first. I've found this group such a support. It does get easier but there are dips and bumps in the road. We'll be there for you through it all

bunnykins123 · 23/03/2022 19:31

Hi ladies - I'm back from skiing so thought I'd drop a message to say hi to everyone 👋 just about to enter my 'fertile week' which fills me with dread.

Just a quick one - is anyone taking aspiring all the time and it just from O or BFP? Had an appointment at my clinic today and a nurse recommended it all the time but I've only ever used it after O.

Sassy144 · 23/03/2022 19:49

@peachiekeen thank you 💛 it really helps to know it's not just me. I'm sorry af has crept up on you 😞 I think I'm going to have a month off tracking too, it just becomes all I think about and then it's so disappointing when it doesn't work out.

calimc83 · 23/03/2022 20:42

@Skl2021 that's good 😊 well...got a positive on a lateral flow today! Ffs 🤦🏼‍♀️..roughly around 8DPO I think xx

Skl2021 · 23/03/2022 20:59

@calimc83 haha the only positive you don't want 🙈🤣 seems everyone has it lately! Are you testing early? Xx

calimc83 · 24/03/2022 09:02

@Skl2021 😫😆 I know!! Hmm not sure...I'm tempted but trying to hold off. AF due Sat 😬 x

Skl2021 · 24/03/2022 09:04

bunnykins123 · 24/03/2022 09:29

@calimc83 good luck for testing on Saturday! Got my fingers crossed for you 🤞

So I am a bit confused - negative OPK and CB test but I have bucket loads of EWCM. Usually at this point I'd be getting a flashy smiley face but it's still a circle. I always thought EWCM was due to surge in hormones? I'm CD13. Has anyone had this before?

calimc83 · 24/03/2022 12:23

@bunnykins123 @Skl2021 Thanks! Stupidly did a test before at 9DPO after a 2hr old..obvs stark white! 😩🙈 xx

bunnykins123 · 24/03/2022 12:27

@calimc83 was it a FRER? I've never ever had a positive at 9dpo even when pregnant so you are defo not out! Do you have any symptoms?

Skl2021 · 24/03/2022 12:29

@calimc83 don't worry we all do it! I'm keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🤞 have u had any symptoms? X

@bunnykins123 I would DTD just incase you don't want to miss ewcm! X

OP posts:
calimc83 · 24/03/2022 12:34

@bunnykins123 I symptom spot every month and it never amounts to anything! 🙈...nothing really this month that I can write home about! Make sure u get down to business today 😜 @Skl2021 it's just so tempting at times! Might hold off till Sat now xx

calimc83 · 24/03/2022 12:35

@bunnykins123 it was a cheapie one step. Didn't want to waste a Frer! Ohh that's interesting to know. When have u had positives in the past? X

Skl2021 · 24/03/2022 12:52

@calimc83 yes definitely if you have cheapies in the house I did them for fun 🙈🤣 well if u do wait then it's only a couple more days xx
