Hi everyone my first day of my period was 14.2.22. My apps predicted my ovulation to be cd14 which was 27.2.22

I’ve had two circles on my clear blue on the 22.2.22 and 23.2.22 which were cd 9&10

Since then I have had 6 days of flashing faces on the clear blue ovulation tests. And then low readings on the Premom tests .

I’m now on cd 16 and have had to buy more clear blue and ovulation kits as I have ran out. I just want to ovulate. Has anyone had a large amount of high clear blue readings but low Premom app readings

Will I ever ovulate .

The flashing on CB indicates oestrogen whereas the static face and the premom sticks are looking for LH. So the premom and the CB are agreeing in that they haven’t spotted LH rising yet, it’s just the CB tests also look for oestrogen as well and flash when they do.
I had exactly the same and then got a peak on CB and premom on day 18. Also had to buy more sticks! I tested morning and afternoon at that stage to make sure I caught it but till then my tests looked pretty identical to yours. As you’re testing throughout the day you’re unlikely to miss it so I’d say keep testing! X

Thankyou so much. I’ll keep testing

Hi @Avle20 !

I’m the same at the moment. It’s my first month of using these and they’re definitely not as straight forward as I thought.

Apparently it’s very easy to miss your peak all together so it’s best to test a few times a day around your suspected ovulation date. And the LH peak is usually found in your wee between 12 and 4 in the afternoon so focus on this time frame.

And I would take no notice of the numbers that Premom calculates for you! Some of my darker lines have been calculated as lower numbers than some of my lighter lines 🙈

And I think the important thing to remember is just because you don’t get a “positive” OPK doesn’t mean you don’t/haven’t ovulated ☺️X

Day 14 is very much a mean. And then people get really worried when they ovulate “late” despite some studies finding that 16.8 is the best day for viable pregnancy.

You’re not out yet OP.

^ interesting. I only knew that having a short luteal phase can be problematic, and the follicular phase is more or less irrelevant. But then again it makes sense, the shorter that period is, the less time for an egg to develop.

I’ve got some more tests on the way. With my daughter I caught pregnant first time and I never remember waiting so long for my ovulation. Dh works weird shifts so it’s hard to plan around them x

@Bundaberg84 Yes early and late ovulation (where late impacts the luteal phase, which is doesn’t always) can be problematic.

Bundaberg84 · 02/03/2022 09:16

^ I think I just never thought about that because my average cycle is 30 days, and my luteal phase is never shorter than 12 days, so I'm in the clear re: follicular phase.

Avle20 · 02/03/2022 09:53

I’m guessing this month will be a right off if my ovulation is so late if it’s not here in the next day or so x
