Vitamins/Supplements to boost fertility when TTC

Hi all, I know this is based on personal needs/preference but these are the vitamins I’m taking for general health to help with fertility…

Every day:
*600mg coq10 (2 tablets - 300mg each)
*400mg folic acid (1 tablet)
*2000iu vitamin d3 (1 tablet)

  • 1072mg fish oil (Vital DHA/omega 3 essential fatty acids - includes 3mg zinc - 2 tablets total)

CD1 to ovulation only:
*3000mg evening primrose oil (includes 0.50mg vitamin B6 and 20mg/30iu vitamin E - 2 tablets total)

Is there anything else that I’m missing that you would recommend? This is just based on my own research and what my reflexologist has advised!

Thank you in advance x

Be careful with fish oils as they contain vitamin A which can cause deformities in the foetus at high doses

This looks very similar to me @HayMay - it's the Vita West Pre-conception fish oil you take isn't because I think the numbers are exactly the same as mine. I get plenty of EWCM from just 500mg EPO, so unless you are sure you need that much, I'd cut that down a bit. I take 30mg zinc in addition to the above and I take Ubiquinol instead of CoQ-10 as it's supposed to be 'better' but the research is limited for this - I'm 32 so just wary of egg quality. Xx

Yes that's the one - Zita West Vital DHA. I was wondering if I potentially need Vit C too to try to lengthen my luteal phase a little!

Thank you, that's really helpful. I'm 31 too so there with you! X

PS - really helpful re the EPO as I've only started taking that today! Maybe I should just take the one then and see how I get on? x

Yes I think start with 500/1000 @HayMay and build up if needed! X
