Tracking ovulation after miscarriage

Hi,

I am after any opinions on when I should start tracking ovulation after a miscarriage.
I was told to wait three weeks to do a pregnancy test and I have done that and it's negative. Do I have to wait for my period to start ttc or can I now start tracking ovulation?

I am very confused!!

Sorry about your miscarriage. You can certainly conceive straight away. Tracking might be difficult to do until you've had a period as you won't know where you're starting from.

I had a MMC at 10 weeks in early Nov '21. I still haven't had a period yet but have been tracking using OPKs on and off since late Nov.
I tested neg for HCG 3 weeks after MC and then started tracking.
I've not done it everyday as it's been so disheartening at times for my body to not sort itself out, but I could tell it was trying (from my results).
I started taking Lady's Mantle again (I would normally use it for my v heavy periods) and am convinced that had helped with sorting out my hormones. This week I have finally got a strong peak on the OPKs and know I have ovulated (pains). The OPKs are a double edged sword but helped me be sure that things are least trying to get back to 'normal' with the pains/ewcm I had this time.

I also suffered a MMC at 12 weeks- baby stopped growing around 7 weeks.
I had an ERPC 3 weeks ago and have now had a negative pregnancy test.

I am hoping my cycles return back to normal fairly soon as I know that helps with dating the pregnancy.🤞🏽

Either way I think I will start to try again before my period comes and then can start tracking ovulation again after my period.

I know they say you are more fertile the months after a miscarriage.
