Covid and pregnancy

Hi guys,

Need some advice. I did a pregnancy test on 14/02/22 which was positive.
I had frozen embryo transfer on the 2/02/22.

However yesterday, I fell ill all day with achy body, headache, shivering, sore throat and cough.
Did a lateral flow and it's positive for covid, not happy.
I've had my first covid jab but not second yet.
I'm abit worried now with regards to possible miscarriage or so.
I started getting odd red mucus stringy discharge today.
Can anyone reassure me or tell me what I should do?as I'm worried...

Many thanks.

Firstly, congratulations!

I caught covid 2 weeks after positive pregnancy test following fresh transfer. I also had the stringy bloody discharge; as soon as I tested negative I had an early scan with the clinic and baby was fine, but I had pockets of blood surrounding the sac. She explained this is really common, although cause unknown and body can either absorb it or get rid of it; so if I continued to get blood/spotting/clots etc to not think the worst straight away.

I had random days ever since where I'd get the odd "blood string" but had 12+6 scan on Tues and everything was perfect. They could still see some very small blood pockets, but seemed likely that thats what I'd had up until that point.

Hope my experience offers some reassurance x

Thank you.
That's definitely made me feel better.
I will ring my clinic up too and get the early scan in.

Congratulations on the good news and thanks for reassuring me.
