Hey everyone, I'm new to mumsnet and great to meet you all. I am now 11 days past my due period but have done 2 tests (one at a day late and one at 5 days late) and both negative. Unusual for me as I have a regular 28 day cycle. I have symptoms of being premenstural- tender breasts and some abdominal pain. Have been trying to conceive for almost 2 years. Just wondering if any of you wonderful people have had a similar experience. L xx

Congratulations on the line! I got a negative test after my period was due. For both my pregnancies. And then a positive test much later. Both my babies came at 42 weeks rather than 40 so i don’t quite know what to infer from that. But I do hope this is the beginning of a safe pregnancy for you. A scan further down the line would help with dates etc. fingers crossed for you op

@LallyB84 Congratulations on the positive!!

Could it be that you ovulated later than you thought? There's quite a few things that can delay ovulation (the covid booster delayed mine last month for example), or stress, illness etc. x

Hey both, thanks so much for the replies. I ended up doing a digital test which came back pregnant 1-2 weeks, so now I'm stressing about ectopic pregnant or it not being viable some how as my hcg is so low... and I should be about 6 weeks. I was testing ovulation so think that's pretty accurate, but know it can be late implantation too. Will just need to wait and see and think I will opt for an early scan to hopefully put my mind at ease. Thanks so much for your advice xx
