False positive at 9 weeks pp?

Is it possible to get a false positive at 9 weeks post partum. My little one arrived at 34 weeks in December and I had a period in January. I was nearly a week late for my next period which I put down to post pregnancy hormones settling down. But took a test this morning and was positive. Took 4 more and all positive. We've had sex twice and used a condom but neither of us have used condoms in about 7 years so maybe made an error?

We thought our little girl was a miracle as we were told we'd likely never conceive naturally as husband has low sperm count after cancer.

Just going for a blood test. Help

My exDH had a low sperm count, we were saving for ivf and fell pregnant...thought our daughter was the only miracle we'd get...I fell pregnant 8 weeks post partum and then had my son!

I dnt think it's a false positive op. Think it's a very positive positive.

TheBirdintheCave · 23/02/2022 13:03

Wow those are very positive positives! Congratulations :D

Salamander91 · 23/02/2022 13:29

I think it's unlikely to be a false positive. I conceived my youngest when my daughter was a similar age. Congratulations 😊

bluebell34567 · 23/02/2022 13:31

you will grow them up nearly like twins op. Congratulations 😊

TeddyBeans · 23/02/2022 13:34

I read a news article about a girl getting pregnant 2 weeks pp. Those are 100% positive positives

Gillseybear · 23/02/2022 13:47

Hey OP

These look far to positive to be false positives. Maybe contact your doctor and ask them to run blood tests. Hopefully it all figures itself out soon

irishfarmer · 23/02/2022 15:28

False positives are v v rare. 4, isn't possible!! Congratulations. Altho I'd imagine you are a bit shocked!!

Shainago · 23/02/2022 15:34

Congratulations FlowersFlowers!!

Bells3032 · 23/02/2022 15:37

Thanks. I've gone for a blood test and waiting for the results. fingers crossed soon. I love my daughter but not ready for another one yet. I had a hard and difficult pregnancy full of drama.

Just hoping its some left over HCG from my pregnancy

To help put your mind at rest, I’d be surprised if you fell pregnant whilst using condoms. It is more than likely left over hcg, it can take weeks to go down x

Blood test came back and its completely negative. Less than 1. Happy but very confused. I have used that pot before Inc whilst I was pregnant. I washed it out between but maybe not well enough. Gonna test again in the morning with another container.

Tests from this morning all completely negative. Phew. And the moral of today's story... Don't use a pee cup you used whilst 6 months pregnant to do a pregnancy test no matter how much you cleaned it out after.

I will also be going on the pill as realised how much I don't want another baby now. V v relieved

Glad you got the result you wanted OP 😊

IsabelHerna · 28/02/2022 07:51

It doesn't seem like a false positive... Congratulations!

irishfarmer · 28/02/2022 09:38

Wow that's mad if the HCG stayed in the cup from your first pregnancy. I've kept my one from this pregnancy (washed obviously) but think I throw it out now.
Either way glad the blood test came back as negative as that's what you want.

Bells3032 · 28/02/2022 09:41

Done a couple more tests since and all negative.
That cup wasn't from my original pregnancy test but I used it when I was about 30 weeks pregnant when hcg is in 100k range to test for an infection. Must not have washed it very throughly.

Period is still Mia though
