@Skl2021 @aesgriff good luck today with your scans ladies, I'll be thinking of you both and sending positive thoughts 💕

@Cruz86 good luck with the GP!

Skl2021 · 25/02/2022 07:53

Thanks everyone 💞 now the wait 🤦 @aesgriff thinking of you 💕 xx

Hope both of your scans give you the reassurance you need today @aesgriff @Skl2021

I spoke to one of my colleagues (she is a trained midwife) about my 2 recent MCs yesterday, she told me to contact the GP and ask to have investigations. She said often the reason for recurrent miscarriages is due to Antiphospholipid syndrome which she said is really common and they prescribe aspirin for that! I might try to contact the GP and ask them, if they don’t do any investigations I might just start taking aspirin anyway as a few of you have said previously I can’t see any evidence suggesting it’s harmful 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m in the TWW now think maybe 5dpo? Had my static smiley on Saturday so will go with that! Hope everyone is holding up ok xx

Bridgey8 · 25/02/2022 07:55

Good luck everyone 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

aesgriff · 25/02/2022 07:58

Thank you everyone ♥️♥️♥️♥️

@Skl2021 brave girl pants on - we can do this!

Will update later on ladies xxx

PamelaDoov · 25/02/2022 08:27

I had a dream last night that I got my BFP. I took a picture of the test to show all you guys here. It was so great. I almost believed it was still real for a few seconds when I woke up :(

Cruz86 · 25/02/2022 08:31

I definitely wouldn't leave this thread @Ganesh2022!! I'm just wondering where there's somewhere to talk all things pregnancy so others don't feel disheartened whenever it's spoken about ❤️

Thank you 🙏🏻

@Prayingformyrainbow93 that's really interesting because, I know this sounds silly, but when i was doing my finger prick blood test at home the other day, I ended up googling whether sticky/stringy blood was normal....

X

Ganesh2022 · 25/02/2022 08:46

@Cruz86 there must be a pregnancy after miscarriage one? If not maybe we can start one??
@PamelaDoov 😭😭 hopefully it represents things to come. Dreams are so powerful aren’t they :/

HoneyLemon29 · 25/02/2022 08:47

@aesgriff @Skl2021
Good luck today both of you 💜💜

@Cruz86
I've also been researching sticky blood recently because at my last blood test (thyroid function) they took 3 attempts to get blood from me, and when they did I was bleeding so slowly in my hand and my arm so it's made me think 🤔 I wish I questioned it at the time 😮‍💨

3DP and I've finally got a coverline on my chart. I'm assuming this means ovulation has been established on the app? 🤔

@aesgriff @Skl2021 sending you all the luck 🍀 in the world today ladies xxx

aesgriff · 25/02/2022 09:20

Okay girls…

9mm sac seen and dated just over 5 weeks. The sac is little bit irregular which does scare me as I had this with my MC. Has anyone been told they have an irregular sac? Doctor says not to worry but … 🙄
They can see the beginnings of a yolk sac too 🙏🏻 They are also sorting me out a progesterone prescription!! Xxx

speake · 25/02/2022 09:24

@aesgriff absolutely amazing that they’ve been able to see something on the scan today, 9mm sounds like a good size too! Do your dates add up with what you would expect? Sorry I can’t comment on an irregular sack but please try to take comfort from the consultant saying not to worry. Did you get more context on how it’s irregular?

Over the moon that you’re getting the progesterone too. Congratulations 🤍 xxx

Ganesh2022 · 25/02/2022 09:33

@aesgriff just the one then! It sounds promising? I don't know much about sac irregularities; guessing they would've been more concerned if it were concerning? Hoping that, like people, sacs come in all shapes and sizes lol
@calimc83 Think of the millions of ppl out there who don't know they're preg til 6/7/8 weeks (and, you know, months). I didn't have anything that would've particularly made me test if we weren't actively trying. I still don't. I'm hopeful for you
@Cruz86 I want a brown dog but my dd insists on the white/brown ones. What do you have?? Can't wait to love all over a puppy.

Bridgey8 · 25/02/2022 09:35

@aesgriff great news on seeing a sac and progesterone! No idea on the sac shape I'm afraid but if doctor isn't concerned I would go with that! Congrats lovely xx

aesgriff · 25/02/2022 09:36

@speake thank you! He told me to ‘just get on with my life’ when I asked if there is anything I should or could be doing 🙄 he said just it’s ‘a little bit
By my ovulation dates I worked out I’m 5+2 today so it does match up.
Are you taking progesterone? Any tips if so? Xx

Skl2021 · 25/02/2022 09:39

@aesgriff glad it's good news 💞 I don't know about irregular sac either sorry. Great news u got progesterone aswell 🙌 xx

OP posts:
Cruz86 · 25/02/2022 09:41

Yes I think that's a good idea @Ganesh2022! Our dog is Blenheim so a bit gingery and white. Standard cavalier colours haha.

@aesgriff I'm so glad you're being prescribed the progesterone!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I don't have any advice re the irregular sac but, I agree, i think they would've been honest with you if it was a concern.

I'm currently in the gp waiting room while they try to get through to epu. He has been lovely to me so far and has given me a letter to take there in case they don't answer x

speake · 25/02/2022 09:44

@aesgriff I can understand his sentiment of not to worry but sounds like the delivery was a bit harsh. Honestly though it sounds really promising! But yeah, definitely just the one in there? I was convinced it would be twins 🌈🤍

Re. Progesterone - my tip is to take it rectally rather than vaginally, especially the morning one. When I took it vaginally my last pregnancy I had to lie down for an hour after & even then I still felt like it all leaked straight out 🤦🏻‍♀️ So I would say rectally at least for the morning one which my consultant told me was no different to taking vaginally & for the night time one before bed either or as it doesn’t tend to leak the same when you’ve lay down overnight. If taking vaginally you’ll definitely need to get some thin liners as it does leak a lot & it’s quite a waxy texture.

Sorry I know that sounds grim, didn’t think I’d ever be championing taking something that way 🙈 xxx

arianasky · 25/02/2022 09:46

@aesgriff oh amazing news! I'm not sure about the sac sorry, great that they're prescribing progesterone aswell

@Skl2021 thinking of you and have everything crossed for your scan ❤️🌈

Still no O for me today but much darker OPK's today and cramping so hopefully won't be too far away 🤞🏻

aesgriff · 25/02/2022 09:53

Thank you ladies soooo much!! Will have a proper read when home xxx

@speake they didn’t have 400mg ones just 200mg so 2 x twice a day 😱 is it possible to put two up your bum?! How do you do it?! Xx

speake · 25/02/2022 10:06

@aesgriff oh god, I don’t know 🙈😂 Assuming they’re half the size of the 400mg ones then maybe? Or could you maybe do like morning, lunch, dinner & before bed? I’d maybe try doing the two and if it’s not possible think of a plan b 🙈 xxx

bunnykins123 · 25/02/2022 10:06

@aesgriff yaaaaas girl! So so happy for you, that's excellent news. You can take a big deep breath now. Like @speake says, take them rectally. I took them for the first time last month and actually they aren't as bad as they sound. I also read some women bleed when up the foo-foo as it can irritate the cervix. My recommendation is to squat when inserting them. You can feel it 'as it settles in' for about a minute then you can't feel them at all. Don't be alarmed when you have your first poop - it is covered in white stuff which is just the pellet residue. There is nothing glamorous about taking Cyclogest!

bunnykins123 · 25/02/2022 10:08

@speake haha totally agree with you never thinking you'd champion something like that 🙈

Cruz86 · 25/02/2022 10:16

Not sure why I'm pushing for progesterone after this conversation 😆😆

speake · 25/02/2022 10:24

@aesgriff I second what @bunnykins123 has said or see if you can stand with one leg resting on something.

@Cruz86 honestly you get used to it after a couple of days 😂
