How do you work out dpo?

Do we ovulate for a few days or just the one? Does dpo count from first day of ovulation?

The flo app is telling me my fertile window is a week long....but I'm especially fertile on day 5 apparently!

Had unprotected sex on day 4 of fertile window!

It's now been 5 days since having sex! Can anyone tell me how many dpo I am?

Sorry for the math! I'm so confused!

Ovulation is the day the egg is released.

For a few days before this, your body creates the right environment for sperm so you can have sex and the sperm will hang around and wait for the egg to be released so fertilisation can take place. The egg remains viable for around 12hrs after it is released but not much longer so you're also fertile just after you've ovulated.

Does Flo just track your cycle or are you taking your temp?

One day past ovulation is one day after the egg is released and so on.

Didn't take temperature or anything! I'm pretty regular and got pregnant last time first time trying and going off the doctors dates I conceived my little one on the 'most fertile day' on the flo app.

This time I'm symptom spotting and just trying to work out whether I'm 5dpo potentially or more

What date did Flo App indicate as your most fertile day @L3tsD0Th1S2020?

If you count from that date to today you will know how many DPO you are 😊

@allthingssparkly thank u! That must mean I'm 4dpo! Way too early for symptoms yet I feel sick. I have aches in my lower abdomen since yesterday! Thats what alarmed me. I looked at the app and apparently we had sex the day before my most fertile day!

Last time I got pregnant we just said we'd see how it'd go no pressure! Then bam pregnant and apparently we had sex on my most fertile day as well. What are the chances!

Sounds like you're pretty fertile and it happened quickly for you last time so fingers crossed it doesn't take too long this time. If you are pregnant, you won't have symptoms yet. Give it another 10 days and if your period hasn't turned up, crack open the tests.

@showofhands it's amazing what the mind can do! To go from feeling fine to convinced you're nauseous within 12 hours is a magic trick in itself!

It's the joys of ttc!

My dh probably feels occasionally sick or has a strange pain or trapped wind and pays it no heed. A woman ttc focuses in so minutely on every twitch that everything becomes magnified.

@L3tsD0Th1S2020 hi I am also 4 dpo today and had cramping and sore boobs but know it’s too early for oh symptoms. I won’t text until day after af due as hate looking at faints lines and wondering. Good luck. We only dtd one day flo said was peak ovulation. I did not track x

@Maybebaby7 if I get anymore symptoms I won't be able to wait! We also just DTD once! But that's all it took last time so my mind is on overdrive! I know nausea shouldn't hit until after implantation but then what's all of this I'm feeling! I wish I never checked I would have never known ovulation date!

I also have dtd once before with my youngest ds and fell. It’s so hard not to test. My boobs are throbbing and sore. Could be pms. Time will tell. Hate the wait x
