Blank circle to solid smiley face please help

Please can anyone give me advise so yesterday morning I took ovulation test came up a circle then today I took it again and it was a solid smiley face what does this mean please help

What do the instructions say? I’d suspect a blank circle is void? However a solid smiley usually means ovulating doesn’t it?

A blank circle means that the hormones in your body are not at the right level for ovulation just yet. A flashing smiley face means that there is a surge taking place and that the levels will be peaking soon. A solid smiley face means that you are at your peak (ovulation can happen within the next 24 hours).

Yes iv seen now and it does mean I'm ovulating thanks for the replys just started using the tests x

The first time you use a new Clearblue holder it will always give a blank circle because it's the first reading which acts as a baseline reading. Then subsequent days are compared to this & a reading given. So even if you are very close to ovulating that first time will be ⭕️

This is the reason you should stick with the same Clearblue holder throughout your cycle (even if you run out of sticks & open a new pack - keep the old holder).

Looks like you started testing a bit late in your cycle, so went straight to peak (static smiley face). If this isn't your month, start testing earlier next time.

I haven't just started using it iv been using it for month and a half as iv came off depo so to keep track and today finally smiley face just cause I didn't get the flashing face was what I was trying to ask

I went straight from blank to solid smiley. We DTDt that day and the day after and I got my BFP a couple of weeks later so I reckon it’s a sign to get BDing! Good luck!

Thanks for ur comment here's hoping sounds promising took tesco ovulation kit as well and still came up positive but line wasn't very dark was faint so will try and try x

Also on the clear blue ovulation when you get a solid smiley face that will stay on the screen consistently for 48hrs after detection of peak just incase anyone thinks like me at the start it's a tech fault it's not! All the best folks on your journey!
