So I took a tesco own brand pregnancy test and two dark lines showed up after around 1 minute. After the full time one line lightened slightly (below). Is this a positive? After reading reviews I will be getting another brand to check but just wanted to check!!

Apologies I didn’t realize I had to wait 48hrs!!
I did the tesco own brand test and then a clear blue. Not sure what to make of it!!
I can defo see a line on the clear blue too but shouldn’t it be more obvious than that? Any help is appreciated driving myself crazy!!

irishfarmer · 21/02/2022 10:25

The tesco one def looks positive to me :) Congratulations!!

amyv7 · 22/02/2022 10:56

Thank you everyone!!
I did another today (early detection super drug) and the line is super faint still… is this normal? I have done 3 different brands now so surely it wouldn’t be a false on all of them?!!

I can def see the line there!! I know I have read a lot about false positives on here, but speaking to midwives/ nurses/ reading up on studies myself false positives are extremely rare, false negatives are way more common (usually tested too early).

Is AF late? I know they also get a bad wrap on here sometimes too, but I love the clear blue digital for that ultimate reassurance, it says it there in writing.

coneonastick · 22/02/2022 12:22

If you wanted to compare the lines you should use the same brand so you can be sure they are the same sensitivity.

Were all tests done with FMU?

crispmidnightpeace · 22/02/2022 12:33

Yes!

amyv7 · 22/02/2022 17:40

That’s definitely reassuring!!
I came off the mini pill around 7 months ago now but I have been really irregular since so I don’t actually know when AF would be due. I had been feeling off so did the test and that’s when I saw the two lines!!

OP posts:
amyv7 · 22/02/2022 17:41

They were all FMU except the clear blue one.
I am going to get some more of the tesco ones I did first to see if they darken?!
