Period awol- what to do?

Stopped taking the pill in December and had a bleed at new year. Since then, nothing. Is it normal to have 7 weeks without a period? We have had unprotected sex so pregnancy is technically possible but I tried testing at CD28, 30 and 35 and all negative.

I'm not sure what to do- just wait for my period or else carrying on testing occasionally? I feel pregnant (boobs and stretchy, full feeling) but suspect this is just me tricking myself.

Hey @Whereismyperiodx - yeah, unfortunately it is. The first couple of cycles after going off the pill are probably going crazy. I had something like a regular cycle, and then 3 or 4 months nothing. I didn't TTC then, but it was really annoying.
There's not much you can do but waiting and testing occasionally. Sorry I can't tell you anything else. But you can def. get pregnant, you just don't know when you ovulate, and therefore not when you are potentially late :)

That's really helpful, thanks- good to know it's not unusual. Frustrating though!

It really is! If you'd like to join an existing thread here in MN, there is at least one long thread about women TTC after coming off the pill with lots of support and help from others :)
