Hi all,

I'm currently starting ttc after having my son a year ago (starting this early as I know it can take awhile) I was just wondering how much my BMI will affect my chances? I'm still having regular periods and I'm going to test for ovulation and I am really going to try a lose weight but wanted some positive stories from my plus sized friends please.

Thank you

I had a BMI of 38 when I fell pregnant with my son. I fell pregnant with him on my first cycle.

I lost weight when I was pregnant.

Not sure what my BMI is now probably around the same.

TTC baby number 2 and again first cycle of trying but won't know until two weeks time

@Fezco I got a bfp first month trying and high BMI. I thought it would take a while and was aiming to lose weight these few months before getting bfp but nope!

@pinkbuttercups how were your appointments etc re weight? I'm awaiting my booking appointment and much bigger than I was last time round. Just dreading what they will say.

My friend was 42bmi and she got bfp on her second cycle. Just be aware I've been told I can't get fertility treatment if my bmi is over 30 so might be worth trying to lose a little weight in case that becomes something you need, here's hoping you don't though!

I got my BFP today! Unexpected but thought I'd update Smile
