Hi folks, wondering if anybody has any positive stories for me or whether anyone else is currently trying to conceive with a BMI on the high side? Losing weight isn't something I want to engage with but I am being mindful with putting good food in my body and moving my body daily in whatever way feels good. But of course I'm really hoping to be a mum soon. So any positive stories would be so welcome. We've tried 4 times so far so not many I know! But some reassurance would be lovely ❤️

Hello! Can't help as still TTC but in the same boat tbh - really not prepared to engage with diet culture etc but also aware that reducing my BMI will probably help as I have PCOS. It's a really hard one isn't it - spent years coming to terms with being curvier/bigger and not hating myself & also don't want to put my body under stress by dieting - I guess mindful eating is the way forward.

My BMI was 50 when I had an unplanned pregnancy. Wouldn’t recommend as it’s a higher risk to you and baby but I’m sure you’ll be fine ☺️

My BMI is 33 and I'm TTC #1 at 38/39.
We have been trying for some time (on-off-on) since summer 2020.
Not sure if it is age/weight/something else that is causing the problem.
I have been referred for fertility treatment (NHS) but need to lose 10kg to be eligible for IVF. Although they are still doing all the tests.
