Hoping for a BFP in March

Hey

I thought I would start a group for those of us hoping for a nice and positive pregnancy test in March!

I am TTC after 2MC and a chemical. I have a son who is 2.5years and I will be 41 next month 😳. I have an appointment at the recurrent miscarriage clinic in a weeks time. I am keeping positive though and staying hopeful. 2022 is our year.

I am currently CD11 and giving the sperm meets egg plan a go!
@HoneyLemon29 thank you so much, that's really helpful :) will be on the Amazon app shortly I expect!! Like you say it would be greta to understand what's going on with my body, at least then even if it shows I don't get peaks (I've never had a regular cycle even before the coil, often going months without AF) I can have a bit of history if/when it comes to speaking to the Dr. I'm already discussing possible pregnancy with the Dr as was on a number of meds that are unsuitable so have come off them, they're happy to discuss that but naturally want to wait before sending me off for tests which I completely understand. Have you been trying for long?

@Abbylouise1 and @Bridgeth29 sorry to hear about the BFN's Sad

Hi @mgdj Smile
I haven't been trying long, but I have had two consecutive losses. Both conceived first attempt. One chemical followed by an Ectopic. This is my second cycle trying but first cycle tracking. I do have 3 children already and they happened without a hitch also, so the last few months have come as a complete shock. I don't like openly admitting I have children on these threads because I feel like I shouldn't complain about fertility when other woman have no children and are having an awful time of it :( I think if your cycles aren't predictable it's a good idea to use OPKs and you can always stop it you find them too stressful. But it does give me a peace of mind knowing when AF is due 💜

@HoneyLemon29 not at all, any delays when trying to conceive are stressful and everyone should be treated with the same love! I'm so sorry to hear about the losses, I have huge respect for anyone who has suffered this and still keeps going - I've not had this but helped my best friend through an IVF loss at 14 weeks and saw the toll that took.
Lots of love to all trying for whatever time, whatever situation, however long for

QueenBee22 · 24/02/2022 15:20

Hello all hope it is okay to join. I am coming from the February thread fingers crossed for lots of good news in March for everyone!

Jellysweet · 24/02/2022 16:33

@BabyBird20 sounds good to me!

kizzy97 · 24/02/2022 17:28

@BabyBird20 yay! Another cycle buddy! 😁

TeddyBeans · 24/02/2022 22:56

Another failed attempt here today. DP is feeling pretty rubbish but he can't help it - he has a medical injury that makes things difficult Sad we've discussed potentially using AI to help. This month might be a write off for us while we work out how to proceed 🤷‍♀️

TeddyBeans · 24/02/2022 23:11

Should probably add that last month was only the second time in the 1.5 years we've been together that he's finished. Rightly or wrongly I was pinning a lot of hopes on last month

GeraniumCedarwood · 25/02/2022 06:28

@TeddyBeans my DP has the same issue. We have successfully got pregnant previously by him doing his business into a sterile post and then using sterile syringe to get them up into me. You can buy packs from chemists / amazon, and there’s plenty of people using sperm donors who do this method- google away and you’ll find some useful tips . I’m also on a waiting list for the NHS to do this, or something similar for me. But seems like an endless waiting list.

Unfortunately for us, both of the times it was successful it ended in MC

GeraniumCedarwood · 25/02/2022 06:31

@TeddyBeans Just to add, I think it is a really common problem. I hope both are dealing with it okay emotionally. We saw a sex therapist over it and DP also tried viagra but both seemed to just make everything more emotionally strained.

We now enjoy sex again as there’s no pressure on him finishing during the act.

TeddyBeans · 25/02/2022 07:23

@GeraniumCedarwood thank you ❤️ we spent a bit of time talking and researching last night so have a few ideas but will do some more in the coming days. I thought DTD for a purpose might help but DP is just feeling the pressure.

Sorry to hear about your losses Flowers I hope you get your BFP soon ✨

GeraniumCedarwood · 25/02/2022 08:18

@TeddyBeans- Our poor DPs- mine would often feel so pressured too, and it is not good for his self-esteem! Glad to hear you're communicating and researching well together about it, I'm sure you'll find a way forward that is right for you both.

Thank you Flowers

Purple29 · 25/02/2022 12:52

Still a week to go till test day. Have absolutely zero symptoms so I'm already counting myself out this month. Don't think we are going to try next month to try and avoid a dec baby!! We have so many birthdays already in Dec!!

ladybuggoldfinch · 25/02/2022 13:00

@Purple29 I feel like I'm out too this time. Sigh

Mummyme87 · 25/02/2022 13:50

I have no symptoms either. Wel I had lots of pelvic pain and discomfort. Very early on in the TWW, left boob mildly tender for couple of days but stopped. A part of me thinks no symptoms is a change as I usually find every symptom but just don’t have that positive feeling. Although I felt super positive last cycle and was very negative 😬😬

I’m tempted not to try next cycle either to avoid December, but then don’t really want January either as me and DS2 are 14/15 jan. But is it silly to stop, not sure. Who knows

Decaffe · 25/02/2022 15:46

Ovulation day here, but curiously my easy@Home OPK peak ratio was only 1.08 when usually it’s much higher? Starting to worry now it’s not enough to have promoted ovulation?

Also, can alcohol affect the ovulation process? Supposed to be ‘out out’ this evening…! 😕

Hoping for a BFP in March
Decaffe · 25/02/2022 15:50

@TeddyBeans the pressure is real! Lots of couples use AI either exclusively or complementary to PIV. I think performance anxiety for the men is much more common that society would have us believe. And in turn it is so frustrating and disheartening. Have a look on some threads on here, I’ve seen quite a few Flowers

RosyappleA · 25/02/2022 17:05

Hi everyone, I was in the last few threads but left last month when AF arrived early as it was just overwhelming with my birthday and valentine’s etc, then near due date of my miscarriage approaching too. I took a relaxed approach this month as the cold we had since early Feb was awful and is just going away now finally.
DD hasn’t slept at all well so we really haven’t had a chance to DTD this month other than once 4 days prior to, then ovulation day and the day after. I had three clearblue sticks left and managed to use the same reader with these sticks this month too to pinpoint these days. Our attempts have been in unfavourable positions sorry tmi as DH is very tired these days and struggles to even dtd so next month I think I will stick to just the day before and ovulation day. I will have to use OPKs as we don’t seem to get a chance to dtd with my energetic toddler who never wants to sleep so it might as well be on the exact days only.
I am really worried about this ttc and the performance anxiety DP seems to be experiencing. He struggles to finish and also not much seems to come out unlike before all this. I can’t believe I am even saying this as before ttc we had no problems in fact I couldn’t keep up with him.

Good luck everyone.

beaverdiego · 25/02/2022 17:13

Periods just coming on, yay 😞
I'll be joining.
Feeling useless and hopeless already though after being diagnosed with a condition last month which makes implantation unlikely.

allthingssparkly · 25/02/2022 17:26

Is anyone testing this weekend? I don't know whether to or just wait till my period is due 😩 (3rd March)

Baby dust ladies ⭐

ladybuggoldfinch · 25/02/2022 18:06

Everybody seems a bit down in todays posts. This TTC business is so difficult when it doesn't happen as quick and easy as we want it eh. Big love to you all

OP posts:
Purple29 · 25/02/2022 19:12

@allthingssparkly AF for me is also due on 3rd. I make it a rule not to test until the day after its due!!! I cant take the constant disappointment.

I'm also feeling so so anxious just now. My husband is military, so who knows what might happen. I'm hoping he doesn't have to go anywhere. It's just all so upsetting!!!

ladybuggoldfinch · 25/02/2022 19:46

@Purple29 that must be so worrying for you xx

BabyBird20 · 25/02/2022 20:39

Hi ladies, can anyone recommend any prenatal vitamins? Ive heard the pregnacare ones can mess with/lengthen cycles. Ive been taking plain folic acid but feel I could be doing more to try and help! I have Pcos too so anything anyone tas been recommended to take to help with that?

Purple29 · 25/02/2022 21:08

@BabyBird20 I found that the pregnacare ones made me really nauseous. So I take the seven seas ones. None of them will help you conceive, but you need the folic acid as it helps the formation of babies neural tube and brain (best scenario is to be taking it for 3 months prior to conception) but from conception is good too and for the first 12 weeks.

I take CoQ10 enzyme. Its meant to help with egg health and fertilisation rates?!
