Hoping for a BFP in March

Hey

I thought I would start a group for those of us hoping for a nice and positive pregnancy test in March!

I am TTC after 2MC and a chemical. I have a son who is 2.5years and I will be 41 next month 😳. I have an appointment at the recurrent miscarriage clinic in a weeks time. I am keeping positive though and staying hopeful. 2022 is our year.

I am currently CD11 and giving the sperm meets egg plan a go!

@Reesa2022 it can't hurt if you are both up to it 🤞🏼✨

FreckledMouse · 24/02/2022 07:14

@GeraniumCedarwood
Welcome ♥️
Good luck on Cycle 1 ✨✨✨

Peonies94 · 24/02/2022 07:23

@GeraniumCedarwood I never wait to full 2 weeks, but my LP is only 11 days, so usually test at 10 days! Good luck!

Abbylouise1 · 24/02/2022 07:37

Hello fellow newbies.
I must admit I’m still figuring out all the acronyms haha.
I’m on CD 36 now, my tracking app says I’m 3 days late, how long after a late period do you ladies tend to test?

TryTheNight · 24/02/2022 08:09

@Abbylouise1 I'm lucky if I can reign myself in to wait until my period to test. If your period is already 3 days late, 95% of us would probably have tested by now. Lol. Or in my case, tested several, several times.

TeddyBeans · 24/02/2022 08:14

I seem to have fallen off the testing calendar so adding myself back on. Tried to DTD last night but DP couldn't finish Sad hoping we don't have the same problem the rest of my FW

Nyxxie · 24/02/2022 08:57

Hope it's ok to tag along, I'm CD6, TTC #1, but not sure on how my cycles going to go, when/if I'll ovulate etc - had my first AF for 8/9 years at the weekend so just trying to keep fingers crossed it'll settle into a nice rhythm! Sending positive thoughts to all of you, hope all of you in the 2WW are staying sane(ish!) x

Have you thought about buying some OPKS to track? X
MangoLipstick · 24/02/2022 09:56

Morning all,
I’ve not added to the tracker yet as no idea when I’ll ovulate.
I’m getting some dull aches on my right hand side and had a little EWCM y’day. Opk still low but I’m going to trust my body on this. I’m not enjoying using the opks tbh. I just wanted to try them to help me pinpoint ov after my mmc but I’m finding it quite stressful. I think I’m going to stop using them after this cycle.

Unfortunately dh is away with work tonight, back tomorrow though, but then his dad is over Saturday morning till Sunday 😂 bad timing. Will dtd tomorrow and try again on Saturday, not sure how successful that will be though! (Might dampen the mood abit knowing his pa is downstairs😵)

Good luck everyone who is in the 2WW. Wishing you all so much luck 🍀

@HoneyLemon29 I am tempted although do suffer with mild functioning OCD so am worried I'll get obsessive on testing?! Although in honesty after reading some threads on here I think that's normal for people TTC regardless of OCD or not! :) Would you recommend any in particular? I've downloaded the Flo app to try and track (as my brain is a sieve with things like this). What stage are you at? :) x

mgdj · 24/02/2022 10:04

Hope it’s okay to join! Currently CD1 of cycle 4 ttc #2. Hoping for a December baby 🤞🏼

I'm CD16 and 2DPO. I order a pack of (I think it's 24) easy@home tests off Amazon and then I have the Premom app downloaded on my phone ☺️ it's really simple. You just pee on a stick once a day and take a picture of it through the app and then the app charts them down for you and recognises how much LH is in your system. When you start getting "high readings" you pee on the stick twice a day until your tests reach its highest level (peak) and then start dropping back down then that'll be you ovulating in the next 12/36 hours. I'll show you a picture of my chart ☺️
The orange line is telling me I'm going to ovulate with it shooting up. And the blue line is my temperature rising confirming the ovulation has happened it all sounds so confusing at first but it's really really simple when you get the hang of it. So now my app has readjusted itself and telling me I'm 2PO. I know what you mean with the stress, but with me I would be more stressed not knowing when things are happening if that makes sense 💜

FF is down for me as well. Glad it's not just me!

Purple29 · 24/02/2022 10:14

@MangoLipstick I found the same with the OPK's so I stopped using them. My fertility Dr told me to stop using them. He told me the days to DTD and I was pregnant 2 months later, after 2 years of nothing!!!

MangoLipstick · 24/02/2022 10:40

Hi @Purple29
I actually screen shot you explaining what your dr said! It was from a while back. It really made sense. We were following it more or less but with me ov much later then my app said, I’m out of sync with it! I stopped listening to my body, as was to caught up in what the app/opks showed.

I know opks are fairly easy to use and are brilliant for lots of women, but I just feel a certain pressure when using them, it makes things feel regimented and that’s what I find stressful.

Thank you for sharing what your fertility dr said btw, I imagine it has helped more then a few couples conceive ☺️

HoneyLemon29 · 24/02/2022 10:43

I agree OPKs are not the best for everyone causing more stress for some. For me I only have one Fallopian tube after an ectopic surgery so I'm more at ease knowing my body is going back to normal after surgery. When I'm confident my bodies gone back to routine I'll probably stop using using them 💜

Bridgeth29 · 24/02/2022 11:54

Hi everyone, I've been lurking the last couple of months and now feeling the need to join as just got a BFN at 12dpo (due AF Saturday, have actually been testing since 8dpo 🙈) so I know I'm out this month. On to March! I'm TTC #2 (DS is 2) and I'm 37. I've been looking at stats for conceiving at this age and feeling pretty low. Good luck everyone!

Bundaberg84 · 24/02/2022 12:05

@MangoLipstick I agree, that's why I stopped with opk two cycles ago. And then I was late last cycle and was sure I was pregnant. But I just ovulated later than usual, AF showed up almost a week late. That caused so much more stress so I started opk again this cycle.

Abbylouise1 · 24/02/2022 12:13

Got a BFN this morning, still no sign of AF after 4 days late. CD 36, sending love to you, this is an anxious stressful journey.

Nyxxie · 24/02/2022 12:46

Adding myself to the testing calendar, hope this works! Fingers crossed for everyone:)

@HoneyLemon29 thank you so much, that's really helpful :) will be on the Amazon app shortly I expect!! Like you say it would be greta to understand what's going on with my body, at least then even if it shows I don't get peaks (I've never had a regular cycle even before the coil, often going months without AF) I can have a bit of history if/when it comes to speaking to the Dr. I'm already discussing possible pregnancy with the Dr as was on a number of meds that are unsuitable so have come off them, they're happy to discuss that but naturally want to wait before sending me off for tests which I completely understand. Have you been trying for long?

@Abbylouise1 and @Bridgeth29 sorry to hear about the BFN's Sad

Hi @mgdj Smile
