TTC after placental abruption

I am thinking of TTC again later this year and I am looking for some advice on other women’s experience in a similar situation.

I have a beautiful DD who was born by emergency c section due to me having a placental abruption during labour. I was induced at 41+5 and delivered at 42 weeks. I got to 7cm dilated but the bleeding was very heavy and contractions were back to back and they took me for a c section due to risks to my DD and I due to the placental abruption. Both of us are absolutely fine although I did have a longer than usual recovery.

Has anyone else had a placental abruption and went on to have a further pregnancy and not had the same complication? Or had the same complication? I’ve been told the risk is high for it to happen again which terrifies me as I feel we were lucky to both be well after the delivery and I’m worried what could happen if I fall pregnant again.
