TTC… strange bleed/AF?!

Hi all

New to this board! Posting because I’m an over thinker..I have been TTC since December 2021, my AF usually always comes on the 15th/16th day of the month. Had a pre conception chat with GP, no issues. DTD 3-4 times a week.

Did a random test on 6th Feb (negative), I started bleeding on 8th Feb in evening, presuming early AF but it’s finished this morning so lasted nearly 3 days… I was shocked to see it come so early, quite heavy and then finish so quickly?! It’s just not what happens in my cycles?!
Should I retest in a week? (I’m only buying tests when I really need them now as I was getting obsessed with POAS)

Also been experiencing nausea, bloating, fatigue and some tearfulness.

Surely it can’t be a heavy implantation bleed..

Thanks and all the best all Flowers

My periods usually always last 5-6 days, so this is new.

Anyone? I feel like I’m just wishful thinking 😆

Mine has also arrived early and isn't yet as heavy as it usually would be on day 1 so wondering if could be implantation but think I know really that it isn't. Sorry no advice but you're not alone! Good luck on your journey

I had something similar last month but wasn’t pregnant. No harm retesting in a week though :)

With my daughter, before I knew I was pregnant I had what I assumed was a period. It was fresh, thin blood that kind of poured out of me as though I'd cut my finger rather than the slow thicker blood of a period if you see what I mean? It lasted about two days. I guess it was implantation but could also have been an early pregnancy bleed. Sounds similar to what you've experienced! I have irregular periods though so can't help you with when it came In my cycle. But that was on the Christmas Eve and I got my positive on the 2nd of jan.

it's funny how people say implantation of just a bit of spotting!
Good luck, I hope you get a positive test quickly!

Thanks so much all, I do feel abit odd iswell but I guess I’ll just test in a week and let you know what the outcome is.. I was reading how some people get heavy implantation bleeds so I got concerned! Would it amazing if I tested positive next week but what will be will be, thanks all xxxx

This happened to me. It was implantation bleeding and I was pregnant (happened on both pregnancies).
Test again in a week. My first test was when I was almost 5 weeks and was still quite faint.

Pheepa · 11/02/2022 21:04

@ffscovid what was your bleeding like?

ffscovid · 11/02/2022 21:08
@ffscovid what was your bleeding like?
Similar to yours. Started a couple of days earlier than usual. Was quite heavy from the start (with clots) and stopped abruptly on day 3 of bleeding. I expected it to start back up again but it didn't and after about 5 days, I felt a bit nauseous and considered the possibility that I could be pregnant and took a test (I wasn't actively TTC).

Pheepa · 11/02/2022 21:10

@ffscovid thanks, I think! Going to pretend it's not an option to be implantation for now!

Thanks for sharing, I do wonder if I am preggo or not! So weird. I have felt nausea, there was some spotting today further on but not too much like the heaviness the past 3 days
