Hi @Conundrum12345 it really depends on your clinic and what protocol they put you on. I just went though a mild ivf cycle where they focus on getting fewer but good quality eggs and follow your natural cycle. This was the process- Stimulation injections start on day 2, then you are scanned from day 6 every second day to check on your follicles. From around day 7, you start another daily injection to prevent ovulation. Finally, when your follicles are the right size, you take a final trigger injection for the final maturation of the eggs. Egg collection is exactly 36 hours after the trigger, and the date depends on how your follicles are developing , mine was on day 13. This is done under sedation but the egg collection itself only takes ten or so mins so very quick. You need to take antibiotics to prevent Infection and start progesterone suppositories. Eggs are put with the sperm and you get a call the next day to tell you how many have fertilised. You then get another call with a status on day 3, and then, if having a day 5 transfer (they aim for day 5 but sometimes day 3 may be necessary) you go in for your egg transfer which again only lasts ten mins or so. You continue the progesterone and then it's a waiting game! Hope I havnt missed anything!
