Hi all

So last week i used the clear blue ovulation tests on 01/02 which was clear circle then again on 02/02 which was static smiley. Had sex that night however had some bleeding after & for a couple of days after however wasn't like a period.
Used CB again 48 hours after & was back to a clear circle.
Currently 7DPO, did a test today but showing negative. Have had some cramping & sensitive boobs today.

However, I have also been doing a daily CB ovulation test which has shown as high fertility for the past 3 days. I'm worried that the original peak was a false positive & I'm actually due to ovulate in the next couple of days, will keep trying the CB.

Any advice would be great.

Hi, didn't want to read and run, I got a clear blue static smiley on the 2nd too and am currently 7 DPO - I was thinking about doing a thread as I feel very nauseous and have had cramps all day, I can't think what else it would be to be honest, I even did a covid test which was negative.

I know OPKs can detect pregnancy hormone so I could be that?? I don't know, but I'm feeling symptoms now, I'm pretty sure so we both could have implanted quite early?

Oh and I haven't done a test nor will probably until 12/13 DPO as I couldn't cope with a CP... I think 7 DPO is too early for it to be picked up generally as if we are implanting now we would need a few days for the pregnancy hormone to kick in

Also, sorry, last message - if you are using the purple clear blue and it's saying high with the flashy smiley, that picks up estrogen rather than LH which would probably still be high post ovulation maybe?

What pregnancy test did you do?

It was just a cheap Tesco one as I know they are a little better early on than the CB digital. I am hoping that the high fertility readings are like you say & just high post ovulation. I will maybe wait until Friday as it will then be 9DPO

Hi @stew45618! That's so annoying, I'm sorry your cycle is weird. Sometimes your body gears up for ovulation but somehow didn't, and then tries a second time to ovulate. Maybe that's what's happening right now.
Yes, OPK can pick up hcg, but when they do, the hcg test will show a positive as well.
Your test shows high, not peak, correct? Because it can happen that you'll get another lh surge, that doesn't mean you're ovulating. Some will get that before the end of the cycle.

That was what I thought. However I didn't have a period last month & the time I had the peak LH surge on 02/02 was when I would have been due to ovulate per my cycle days as ovulating now would have been nearly 3 weeks from date my period was due. Correct, it's just been high for the past 3 days with no peak so you may be correct in that as it would be near the end of my cycle that could be why I'm having those readings.

@stew45618 yep I think best to wait unfortunately, if you can I'd even try and test closer to AF just so as to get a more definitive result!

Last period was 25/12, was due on 22/01 however period never arrived (did test however all negative) Based on my cycle tracking, I'm currently on day 19 of my cycle if I had AF last month when I'm usually on day 28 every cycle.
