Have you tried either of these? I have really long cycles and painful periods so I am tempted to try one of these. Not sure which. I had a vaginal ultrasound which indicates that I do not have cysts so I thought I’d try certain vitamins to help regulate my hormones.

Hmm, some vitamins actually help to make your luteal phase be longer. The question is a bit if you have a long luteal phase or a long follical phase. Do you track your ovulation?
I took vitex agnus castus to help regulate my hormones after my ectopic pregnancy, it helped.

@Bundaberg84 I started charting my bbt 2 weeks after my period in December. Haven’t had a period since and I’m on day 55 of my cycle - longest it has been! I think I ovulated around day 30 going off my increased bbt and ewcm. I am bloated, heavy breasts and some days I’m so exhausted and dizzy I have to lie down. There’s something off with my hormones. Dr won’t further investigate because my recent ultrasound doesn’t show cysts or abnormalities… that’s why the ovulation support vitamins look appealing.

I use the ovulation support, I found it shortened my cycles and regulated them. I didn't have particularly long cycles, about 33-34 days...now a very regular 30 with good positive opk mid cycle

Bundaberg84 · 09/02/2022 19:18

@stopthepain did you come off the pill recently?

HRHXO · 09/02/2022 19:30

I used the ovulation support ones. I took them for a month and a half and my cycle came down from 54 days to 41 to bfp! Had my bfp 2 days ago, as my cycles were irregular I am unsure how many dpo I was as I didn't even have a positive opk (wasn't tracking properly as it was stressing me out) and I wasnt sure when af was due either as I didn't trust my apps with irregular cycles. I was also booked for a scan of my ovaries for 14th! Took a test on a whim and it was a very strong positive and showed 2-3on cb digital. The only things I did different were these vitamins and a more relaxed approach (not strictly tracking, less stressed, dtd whenever I wanted rather than certain days).

I defo recommend the ovulation support ones!

Hope this helps x

@CherylPorter350 @HRHXO oh good news! Dr has diagnosed me with oligomenorrhea. I rang up and the dr is going to refer me for more tests (different to the one I had last time). I think I have issues with ovulation. @Bundaberg84 I stopped the pill 16 months ago.

@stopthepain glad you got some kind of diagnosis! It's always easier to know ehat you're dealing with. I hope it sorts out soon!
