@MO22 yeah I heard that about being more fertile after a MC...😖 sucks doesn't it xx

calimc83 · 14/02/2022 21:52

Right girls - now u all know I'm not obsessing this cycle and taking the relaxed approach 😆😆🙈..but when do I dtd?! I think I'm due to ovulate Thursday..and done it Sat,Today..but now when?? Is Tues/Weds/Thurs too much?? X

PamelaDoov · 14/02/2022 21:53

I’m not feeling very good about my situation at all. Bleeding isn’t what I’d call heavy but it’s very red. I just don’t understand why this is happening now, when I had a positive OPK last week 😔

calimc83 · 14/02/2022 21:57

@PamelaDoov hey, I don't know if this helps at all...but after my MC I ovulated around 2 weeks later then AF showed up after 7/8 days..which it's never normally that early. I think our hormones go a bit haywire after. Hope u are ok xx

PamelaDoov · 15/02/2022 08:46

Well it’s definitely AF, one week early. I’m confused and upset Sad

Beautyangel1 · 15/02/2022 08:57

Hi all,

I hope you are all well. I unfortunately have suffered with a missed miscarriage which I found out about at my 12 weeks scan. The baby stopped growing around 7 weeks. I opted for medical management which was unsuccessful. I then had to have surgical management and had an ERPC. This was last Thursday (03.02.22) I have been told to do a pregnancy test in three weeks time. My husband and I do want to try again quite soon. How long do you think I have to wait to get my period? Or could I start trying as soon as I have a negative test?

Thanks in advance x

JuniperAndTonic · 15/02/2022 09:05

@Bridgey8 good luck today thinking of you 💕

Will catch up properly later!

Hannabanana2021 · 15/02/2022 09:14

Hi everyone. Currently trying to conceive after 2 consecutive losses with the most recent ending in Ectopic and losing my left tube. Saying bye to AF 👋 and starting this month. Filled with mixed emotions and anxiety. They say heal first emotionally but who can ever really be truly ready after a loss and not filled with worry 😓

Bridgey8 · 15/02/2022 09:14

Thanks @JuniperAndTonic I'm petrified! Sat at work unable to concentrate 😳

speake · 15/02/2022 09:40

@Beautyangel1 I’m so sorry for what you’ve gone through. From my experience you can try as soon as you feel ready & don’t necessarily have to wait for a period. However, they recommend waiting for a period as it will give a lot more certainty in terms of dating the baby. With my first miscarriage the baby was 1-2weeks behind where they should’ve been and then I miscarried. I then fell pregnant straight away again (before period) which was amazing but it made the second miscarriage process worse and much longer as we could never be entirely sure of the dating / age of the baby due to not having had a complete cycle post miscarriage so we were left clinging on to hope for a lot longer. Everyone is different though!

@Hannabanana2021 it sounds like you have had an absolutely awful time. I agree with you I’m not sure we’ll ever heal emotionally, even friends who have gone on to have their rainbow baby still struggle with their previous losses. Take your time 🤍

speake · 15/02/2022 09:42

Hi Ladies, I feel terrible infiltrating the comments but please can I ask if anyone else can see a line on this test? When I say line I mean the faintest hold it up to the light, close one eye kind of line 🙈 It’s just a cheapy so not the most sensitive, still waiting for FRER to arrive!

Thank you xx

@MO22 gotta be someone here cheering you on! Let us know how it goes - fingers crossed for you 🤞

@aesgriff good luck today at the EPU today - hoping you get some reassurance 🤞

@calimc83 I think it depends on what method you want to follow. My clinic say every 2 days but SMEP says 3 days around ovulation. Personally, I don't think you can bd too much so I'd say just go for those days - at least you'll be covered!

@PamelaDoov im so sorry you've started AF. Big hugs, I know how disappointing it is when she arrives 💕

@speake hmm it's hard to tell as it's a bit out of focus. Can you send another? I think I might be able to make something out.

@Hannabanana2021 @Beautyangel1 im so sorry to hear about your loss. Lots of support here for you, I'm not sure I ever truly got over my 1st loss 3 years ago (MMC at 12 week scan). The advice I was given was I can try again when I'm ready. I did go on to conceive DD 6 months later (my HCG took 3 months to go down so I wanted to wait for it to be cleared before trying again!)

@Bridgey8 good luck today! Got everything crossed for you 🤞

Sassy144 · 15/02/2022 10:28

@speake I got a positive on a clearblue ultra early previously, but it wasn't until the day after af was due (11dpo for me) so I don't know how accurate they are early, but they aren't as sensitive as FRER.

@arianasky I'm so so so sorry that you are going through this ❤️ we are all here with you xxxx

MO22 · 15/02/2022 10:56

@PamelaDoov is this your first AF since MC? Similar to @calimc83 I got a positive OPK two weeks after my surgery but no EWCM and started spotting about a week after that which eventually became my period. So I think everything is just thrown off in the early stages. I'm so sorry though, as I know how it feels to feel like your cycle is back to normal.and then get thrown off. Thinking of you

@bunnykins123 love the cheerleading, it helps! So I did a FRER and there is a ghost of a line if you stare until your eyes hurt. I assume it's an indent as last time I had a visible faint line at 13 DPO on a Tesco cheapie. So I'm resigned really, AF due tomorrow, I hope she just gets on with it so I can move on to a new cycle.

I hate FRER I have only ever had indents on the f**kers!

@Bridgey8 I have EVERYTHING crossed for you for the scan.

Bundaberg84 · 15/02/2022 11:20

@arianasky I am so, so terribly sorry you have to go through this. Again. It's so unfair, and I can't find the words to tell you how sorry I am for you. We are here for you

Bundaberg84 · 15/02/2022 11:20

*hycosy

Hannabanana2021 · 15/02/2022 11:31

@Bundaberg84 sorry for your loss :( is this the HSG test I hear about? I'm currently cycle day 7 and this will be the first month actively trying. I have OPKs and a BBT thermometer 🌡 coming today to track. My fingers are crossed for you and your appointment that everything's well and we receive good news very soon

speake · 15/02/2022 11:45

Thanks ladies, I didn’t take another picture (didn’t realise it was blurry as my phone screen is cracked 🤦🏻‍♀️). We go again tomorrow x

Cruz86 · 15/02/2022 12:10

Argh I can't keep up!! Being on MN should be a full time job, right?!

Hello to all of the new names in here but sorry that you've had to join this thread under horrible circumstances.

@PamelaDoov so sorry af has arrived, how completely and utterly confusing for you 😞

@aesgriff do you have a scan today?! And you too @Bridgey8? If so, good luck! Thinking of you.

I'm having a crazy cycle but I did start Vitex on cd5 so I think it's doing something to me! No obvious ovulation signs yet and I'm on cd20 of a 29/30 day cycle. So who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ Was trying to relax this month but I've caved and ordered opks because this uncertainty is killing me!

Hope you're all okay and I'll try to stay more up to date than I do already 🤦🏼‍♀️ x

PamelaDoov · 15/02/2022 12:50

@MO22 yeah first one. I don’t know I bothered to try so hard and convince myself it could work first time.

MO22 · 15/02/2022 13:34

@PamelaDoov I did exactly the same thing, got myself totally worked up, cried on the day I got the positive OPK because DH was sick and didn't want to DTD. The poor sod ended up doing it in the end, and then I stressed all the while and ruined our holiday. In hindsight, we should cut ourselves some slack, our bodies have been through the wringer and we probably need to try and heal physically and emotionally. I know this all easier said than done, I've just beaten myself up this cycle again and with my AF about to start I'm wondering why...

PamelaDoov · 15/02/2022 13:43

@MO22 I’m sorry :( you’re not alone though I get like that sometimes too. I just don’t know how I’m ever going to feel better until I’m pregnant again. I’m supposed to be nearly 24 weeks along now. I feel so sad. I’ve had to take the day off work because I can’t face being around people all day when I just want to cry.

Beautyangel1 · 15/02/2022 13:44

Hi,

I have done an early pregnancy test after a surgical miscarriage. Would you say this is still showing as a faint positive?

Thanks x

@Hannabanana2021 as far as I know both procedures are similar, but hycosy is done via ultrasound, and hsg via x-ray. Therefore hycosy has a bit of a lower impact on the body, and can be done by a gp or gynacologist. I don't really know which one they will do, I just assumed the hycosy, we'll see :)

speake · 15/02/2022 14:06

@Beautyangel1 I think I can see a faint second line too x
