So had DD in March 21, was tricked into depo day after giving birth. Yeah some Will say how tricked but day after giving birth everyone is hormonal! Trying to conceive since and no luck. I mean we try 24/7! I have just turned 40 and he is 43 so not great but really if anyone is offered depo. Think long and hard. I had 6hrs and thought at the time short term 😫

You’ve been trying for less than 12 months. If you had your DD in March 2021, and the depo lasts for 3 months, then you’ve only been trying for 8 months. That’s not a ridiculously long amount of time.

But, also… You’re in your 40’s. You are not going to conceive as easily.

I know depo doesn’t suit everyone and can take time to come out of people’s systems, but I’m not sure it’s the only thing at play here.

I was never told of the implications of infertility after taking it. Even the GP a month after giving birth was shocked atbeing cornered! Yes I’m older but I just want people to realise that once given birth or trying not to conceive depo makes a big impact! I’ve had three babies within 3months ttc over 15yearsnso very fertile.
