11 dpo, strong bfp... is this normal???

Hi all, bit of background, my cycles over the last 6 months have been all over the place. Super long, 54 days then 48 days etc and then on boxing day I think I had a bfp but this disappeared the next day and January 8th AF arrived. Anyway my apps all predict I'm 11 dpo today but I never had a fully positive or peak OPK. I wasn't really tracking because I'd gotten sick of it all after 10 months but I decided I do an OPK (in case I was ovulating super late hence the long cycles) and a pregnancy test. So I used an easy@home strip test (pink ones). The OPK was the darkest I've ever seen one, never had a positive let alone a peak and the pregnancy test also had a very strong pink line! I took FRER this evening and it's also super strong, darker than the control!

I'm really worried that the tests are all faulty or I'm pregnant with twins or my last period wasn't a period at all (lasted 5 or 6 days of steady bleeding).

Anyone ever had a BFP this strong/dark at just 11DPO?

It doesn't necessarily mean it's twins. You might have ovulated earlier than you think and implanted early.

So strange because my cycles were so long for a few cycles and I tested ovulation from almost right after my period and me and my partner didn't even DTD that much thus month, we had practically forgotten about it all because we were exhausted! So confused as to how the lines are so dark already but also so happy!

Try a clear blue digital it will give a clearer idea as shows how far along in weeks you are.

And congratulations, as that's a positive if ever I saw one!

@yaboreme thank you! I have some CB digitals in my drawer so I will do one tomorrow to see what that says.

I'd probably say with a line like that you don't need to wait for FMU, a CB digital will pick it up easily now x

Well I tested this morning and I must have ovulated earlier than I thought because this eas the result... no wonder my lines were so dark. Thanks ladies, baby dust to all! 🥰

I have told him, he was wfh when I took the test yesterday morning and he was actually on a work call and I just couldn't wait and didnt even consider doing something fun or sweet especially with valentines day fast approaching- oops! I just placed the tests in front of him and his jaw dropped lol x

Congratulations. That's an amazing line so I think you ovulated earlier then you thought. Shows that sometimes these things happen when you least expect them 😊
