Ovulation tracking help please

My period finished this morning, hurrah!

I took this ovulation test at 4pm today, does this look ok? I've never used them before and wanting to start tracking. I will continue to do one everyday and watch for the line darkening.

When is best to be DTD? & soon as the line is as dark as the control line? A few days before and or after?

Help a girl out please! Never had to track with my other children as I was super lucky that it just happened with no actual ttc.

Hi @allthingssparkly I hope you are well!

That looks about right for where you are in your cycle. As for DTD, statistically speaking the days leading up to your ovulation are the most fertile. As soon as you got a line that is as dark or darker than the control line, you will ovulate within the next 24-36 hours, so it's time to get busy :)

@Bundaberg84 Thank you 😊 so could I ovulate this week? or is that unrealistic? I have the PreMom app and that is predicting based on my period ect that I will ovulate on CD15 with my peak days being CD13 & CD14.

I suppose I will be able to understand abit better once I'm in a routine with testing.

They are 29 days 😊 periods last around 5 days each cycle.

The lenght of your period doesn't really matter honestly. Your app calculates cd15, because they automatically calculate with a 14 day luteal phase. That could be longer or shorter though. So I guess it could be everywhere between cd 13-18?

Ahh okay, it shows on PreMom app that my fertile window runs from CD 10 - CD15 so are these going to be the best days for "getting busy?" 🤭

Sounds reasonable. You will know for sure as soon as you hot your peak and logged it into the app. Better start sooner than later ;)

@Bundaberg84 Is it best to ovulation test morning, afternoon or evening? Or does it not matter?

I know they say not to do test with FMU which I haven't done.

I have ordered some of the easy at home tests which I'll log into the PreMom app, from tomorrow once they arrive 🤭

I'd do it at the same time each day, and as soon as they get darker, you can use twice a day so you don't miss the peak.

@Bundaberg84 Ahh okie dokie, I'll re do one at 4pm today and continue to keep it at that until the line darkens.

I'm on pins, hopefully I don't miss it!
