Pregnancy or period?

Hi I was wondering what symptoms you had before you found out you were pregnant and how did you distinguish whether they were due to your period or pregnancy?
I am currently due my period in 6 days. And as I ovulate late, I am also 6 DPO. I have cramps which I have only started today and I have a lot of discharge compared to normally, might be tmi but it feels so wet down there.
Would you say this is period symptoms and I am overthinking? Or could it be pregnancy?

Unfortunately pregnancy and period symptoms are similar and it's often hard to tell. What I did notice before I got my bfp was that I had a bad headache for days and kept getting hot flushes which I never get before my period. My cervix also stayed high. I hope you get your bfp this cycle 😌✨️
