Positive opk on morning of 27 Jan so think ovulation must have been the 28 Jan

Cycles are usually 30 or 31 days

I’m too impatient to wait another week but realistically when is the earliest I could test and will a frer be the best test to use early ?

I got my BFP with my first at 9dpo on a FRER and 8dpo with my second. I'd test tomorrow if I were you but if it's negative then just wait a few days and try again. Most people don't get a positive until 10-12dpo, some even later.

Hi @Nottsure, I can't answer your question, but just wanted to keep you company as I also ovulated on either 28 or 29 Jan so am 7DPO (i think). My AF is due next weekend so am really trying to hold off, but like you and trying to resist the urge to test!

How are you feeling?

Nottsure · 05/02/2022 21:33

@OCM19 I feel ok, the only symptoms I’ve had are tearfulness (which of course could be pmt ) And some strange sensations on my uterus area .

I wasn’t sure about my tests as it was positive on the Thursday morning, afternoon and On the Friday too so I wasn’t sure. It I’m assuming the first peak as it was on the Thursday meant I ovulated on the Friday I have no idea !!!

I want to test a bit early but just not sure I see all these early tests but then o read the most common time for implantation is days 8-9? So maybe the early tests won’t be accurate. I just hate waiting 🤣🤣

@Nottsure Yeah same, I don't want to test too early and be disappointed with the result. I purposefully haven't bought any tests so I can't test but every day I am tempted to go and buy some! I may cave on Wednesday!

Let me know when you test, fingers crossed for you Smile

Nottsure · 05/02/2022 21:48

I’m going to try to wait till 12dpo

Another thing is I drink lots of water and tea so I think I’ll have very diluted wee anyway so that will make it more likely to not get an accurate result so maybe I’ll have to cut back a bit on that too before testing!

I got a negative test on 8dpo and a positive at 10dpo using a first response test. I now a 7 month old. Saying this some people don't get a positive until after their missed period.

OCM19 · 05/02/2022 22:05

@Nottsure haha same, I tested first thing with my first pregnancy.

@Mummysparrow oh that’s interesting, that would be Tuesday for me. I’m wfh on my own so may cave and pop to the shops to get a test! If not, it will have to wait until Saturday as DH and I have a busy work schedule and I don’t feel it’s fair breaking the (hopeful) news if I was lucky to get a BFP when he will have to work/have things on rather than being able to enjoy the moment together. That’s obviously wishful thinking though!

Pinkflamingofly · 06/02/2022 20:40

I think 8 dpo is probably the earliest, but only if you're testing with an early detection test

InnPain · 07/02/2022 09:27

I think test a few days before period is normally due, but if you do happen to be pregnant it may still not show until the actual day of your missed period.

Bundaberg84 · 07/02/2022 09:36

I love that site, it states the statistics of pregnancy tests per dpo. At 8dpo, over 80% of all pregnant women still tested negative.
www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=8
IMO, I wouldn't test before 12dpo.

Nottsure · 07/02/2022 21:55

Bfn today no hint of a line just stark white and it was a frer.

Period is due Friday or Saturday but I’m pretty sure it would show by now as frer are the most sensitive and say 6 days early.

It’s weird though as I keep getting some odd sensations in my uterus like a sort of vibrating ? And I feel bloated but maybe just my mind playing tricks on me
