TTC with soy isoflavones and PCOS

Hi all
Does anyone have experience of using soy isofalvones while ttc and pcos? Any success stories out there? I’ve heard soy iso is dubbed natures clomid 🤔
I don’t get AF and have to take provera to induce a bleed. Took provera to induce a bleed and started soy iso CD 3-7. Now CD 13 and no signs of ovulation. OPK all negative and no EWCM as of yet 😩
Does anyone have any success stories?? And what CD did you ovulate on while taking soy if any?
Many thanks

I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS - but the nurse who did my scan during fertility testing said I looked 'a bit polysytic' and I have plenty of the symptoms.
A family friend who struggled to conceive but now has 2 kids swears by a supplement called inofolic alpha. I started taking it at a year TTC and fell pregnant naturally with DD 2 cycles later.
I can't say if it was down to inofolic - but after 6 unsuccessful months of trying for DC#2 I've ordered another box...

Hi, yes I’m very similar and since coming off BC 3 years ago my PCOS symptoms have increased significantly. I’ve finally got a gynae appt this month after waiting for a referral from the gp nearly 12months ago!
That’s really promising to hear about those supplements, I’m already taking something similar; myo inositol complex with a 40:1 ratio and still not much improvement after a few months..
That’s fantastic that you conceived only after 2 cycles using them! Will definitely get some ordered!
Wishing you lots of baby dust

I don't have pcos but had two very long and I believe possibly anovulatory cycles after a miscarriage last year. I took soy CD3-7 and ovulated CD17 using clear blue ovulation sticks - I am now pregnant again! I read it helps to strengthen the egg quality taking on these dates and helps ovulation actually happen but it can move some women's dates forward or back so that might be the case for you. Hopefully in the next week or so x

That’s wonderful to hear! Many congratulations! How far along are you now?
I hope so… lots of BD and hope for the best 🤞 x

Thank you :) only in my fifth week so a long way to go! Exactly @Mocha30, good luck x

Mocha30 · 04/02/2022 17:25

Thankyou @frenchie4002 same to you too, I’m sure all will be fine.
What doses of soy did you take? I took 150,150,150,200,200. If I’m out this month I may play around with the dose x

Thank-you, good luck to you too! PCOS symptoms make TTC really tough ConfusedSad If I'm lucky again and we have another DC then I think I'll say that's enough kids for me, purely so I don't have to go through this again and can get back on that sweeeeet BC

@Newbiemg

frenchie4002 · 04/02/2022 22:41

I read it can take 3 months to work @Mocha30 so you could keep it the same next month and see? I only did 90,90,90,135,135 x

Mocha30 · 09/02/2022 10:38

Thanks @frenchie4002. I will definitely keep at it. I also had my gynae tel appt this week and they’ve agreed to give me metformin and run a full fertility blood profile before all of the other fertility investigations. At least I’m finally getting somewhere rather than being fobbed off with gp’s x

Are you offing it online ? I just wondered if anyone could recommend what the product is they used and where you got it from xxx

Please can I ask how you got these doses when those tablets are 5000mg? I'm getting in a pickle trying to work it all out!

frenchie4002 · 06/01/2023 17:41

from what I remember I looked at the isolfavone amount and went from there so the one I linked you can see on the back is 45g providing isoflavones so I took 2 for 90g etc
