Need to get some self control. I knew there was no chance of a bfp but couldn't resist the impulse. How are you coping?

I too got such a strong urge to POAS today, then I remembered that I had promised myself that I wouldn’t test until 10 dpo. The urge was still quite hard to control so what I did was that I took ovulation test and I said to myself that if my ovulation test comes dark then I will test for HCG (because apparently LH is quite similar to HCG and LH strips are not as sensitive) or else not. Lol! As for coping, I just keep myself busy with one thing or the other. I am pretty sure I won’t last much longer though.

Anyway, I am not sure I will be getting a BFP this month. I could not dtd on the O-day. I did, however, dtd a day before ovulation.
Do you have any symptoms yet? I know it’s too soon, but well..

I'm 4DPO too, feeling bloated/crampy/lower back pain but surely that can't mean anything? I get really strong one sided ovulation pain and had peak on clearblue OPK so confident when ovulation day was. Really wishing the next week away!

@Miracle22 great idea to do a LH if you're desperate. I may try that to stop me testing too often.
I read that it's better to have the sperm waiting for the egg and they can last up to 4 days so hopefully dtd the day before did the trick fingers crossed.
I do BBT and my ovulation date changed so we DTD on the day I thought I would ovulate then it shifted a few days later and by that point hubby was very sick and not up to it! TMI but we were determined and we inseminated with a syringe so no idea how effective we were so who knows.
During day time by toddler keeps me busy but it's evenings when he's asleep that I'll need some strategies to stop myself testing.

I've had sore boobs for last few days and feeling weird twinges in my uterus but not sure if that's anything. How long have you been TTC?

Hello! Can I join? Ttc for a year with really irregular cycles from 30-90 days! Hoping this is a short cycle and my peak was reliable. If that’s the case I’m 4DPO today! The 2 weeks is horrible isn’t it! I struggle so much! Good luck everyone!

Are you all managing to keep away from the sticks?! I'm going to try and hold out until next weekend but reckon I'll have midweek! Boobs were a bit sore when I laid on my front in bed last night but that's not massively unusual.
I've been really lucky to fall quickly with my other 2 but my youngest is nearly 10 and I'm 38 so a lot older than last time!

The wait is a total killer right. Been trying to stay as busy as possible.
I've managed to stop myself from taking anymore tests and aim to stay as busy as possible 😂
Must be a challenge having such varying cycles. Are you tracking your bbt?

Joining as I'm going a bit mad - 4 DPO in my first cycle post MMC, I am lying here googling "gas early pregnancy sign" but rationally it can't be, right? I've read that symptoms don't really kick in til at least 9 DPO. How on earth can I wait 5 days lol!

I'm now 7DPO and also gassy! Like I am before AF arrives

@Pheepa I remember I was v gassy when I in the TWW when I got my BFP, but I think 4 DPO is probably not related - 7 DPO tho, definitely could be related, I think anything from 9 DPO could be symptoms right, as it's the common dates for implantation and when HCG kicks in. (Sorry I am obsessed with googling TWW details, it's my coping mechanism!)

I know what you mean, I'm addicted to googling anything tww related! It's been 10 years since I was pregnant and I've completely forgotten everything. Been feeling queasy the last hour too!

Yeah tbf my last TWW was September so I kinda remember mainly the gas lol, and then I got these weird cramps from about 9 DPO that I thought was AF but it was way too earlier. And then from 14 DPO my sore boobs kicked in... But I did the test at 13 DPO so saw a faint line.

I think I knew tho, I ran the London marathon in the TWW and remember thinking the whole time, what if I'm pregnant, what if I'm pregnant...

Then again, I did think that all the months I got BFN. Such a mind !

I'm only 2 or 3 dpo (peak started Friday) and try to wait until day 12 to test (it's my favourite number) but often cave sooner...

I take progesterone after ovulation to hopefully prevent further miscarriage (4 in the past two years) and this causes nausea, tiredness etc by around 9dpo so I can't even symptom spot! Here's hoping this month brings our rainbow miracle!

@Pheepa I’m reckoning I’ll cave by Wednesday/Thursday too! Hoping to hold out for Saturday! I’m currently 6DPO!

@mumsthew0rdd I’m not bbt no, I don’t sleep I til the same time and tended to forgot, I found it really stressful! I’m using clear blue OPKs and then after I get my peak continuing to DTD every 3 days just to sort of still cover basis, though not as well as I do the rest of the month! That way, If it’s a false peak we are still somewhat covering it!

We completely stopped after peak on CB OPK this month which I now wish we hadn't, def felt like we needed a break from it though! I'm 7/8Dpo today I think and feeling pretty queasy. Does strong symptoms mean I might have ovulated earlier than I think and might be 9/10Dpo? Wishful thinking probably. So tempted to do an early test but we kind of agreed we'd wait til sat (12DPO I think). I'm 38 so a bit anxious about CP and early MC so trying to wait as long as poss but know I won't make it to day of missed period

@NutsandPuffs so sorry for your losses. How long have you been taking progesterone? I am sure that all my symptoms are just from the usual progesterone stuff from normal cycles but the symptom spotting is unreal! Only 5 DPO so feel like the next 5 days until actual symptoms might kick in will be endless

@Pheepa we stopped day of peak too, I wouldn't worry too much, the main thing is have sperm sitting there waiting for the egg to show up I think!

Thank you @MO22 , it's been a sad and frustrating few years however I know many other people experience difficulties too. But sometimes it feels as though everyone else is getting (and staying!) pregnant so easily. I start progesterone 48 hours after I get a peak (clear blue machine) and also take baby aspirin. Plus I'm taking coenzyme q10 and N acetyl cysteine to try to improve the quality of my eggs. Do you take progesterone too? Every cycle I try to not get my hopes up but the progesterone side effects are so convincing!

@NutsandPuffs I can only imagine how tough that must have been, I am so sorry. No progesterone yet my side, I had a MMC in December and Ive read that progesterone isn't particularly helpful in cases of missed miscarriage, but I may be wrong, it's not like I can get any professional support at the moment on that unless I go private. I take every supplement under the sun however to improve my eggs, same as you, I think they say it takes 3 months to kick in and I've been taken them from January, so in some ways I should be aiming for an March/April pregnancy (as if you can plan it!) but also don't want to wait! I completely hear you on everyone around you getting and staying pregnant. My sister has just had her second last week and my best friend is due her second this week, I'm so happy for that but it doesn't mean it doesn't hurt when I think about what could have been. I have my fingers crossed for us, if that should ever work!

@Pheepa when is your period due? Mines due Saturday but I think I’ll test at 9DPO, as I think I’ll cave by then!

Yeah I don’t think it matters too much stopping at peak, the only reason I carry on is due to my long periods where I sometimes have multiply peaks!

Good luck to everyone it is so hard hearing other peoples success! I’ve been ttc for a year (I know others have been trying longer) but as it’s the 12 month mark now, I feel so much pressure! I’ve just started tests to see if there’s something I need to support ovulation etc!

@Peonies94 I'm actually not too sure as I've been on the pill for years and this is the first cycle after the first period since stopping taking it so not sure how many days my cycles are at the moment. If its 28 will be due on Tuesday next week ovulated on day 13 I think so maybe Monday if we're going for 14 days after that! Planning to test Saturday and then again tues/weds if its not arrived before then
