Problems with OPKs

I’ve been having flashing smileys on the clear blue digital OPKs since Friday, so today is the 5th day. But I tested with a regular OPK stick this evening and it was fully negative, no hint of a line.
It’s my first cycle after MC (which was a month ago) so it’s just a waiting game for ovulation. My physical signs are all perfect- cervix is SHOW and I have tonnes of EWCM. I just can’t understand the negative OPK, especially with the flashing digital one. I was expecting a static smiley soon but now I don’t feel hopeful at all :( any experiences to share?

I’m very sorry to hear about your MC. I haven’t experienced a MC myself or been pregnant before. I’m currently in cycle 3 of ttc #1 but I have used the Clear Blue tests with the smileys my last 2 cycles.

In cycle 1 I had 8 days of flashing smiley and then got my static and in cycle 2 I had 9 days of flashing smiley and then got my static.

I think some people can just get a lot of flashing days before the static because the flashing smiley is only detecting oestrogen and not LH.

I would say to keep testing but also if you’re not already test 2-3 times a day because some people’s peak is really quick and you can miss it if you don’t test more than once a day.

I don’t get much EWCM so I can’t help on that as in how many days ladies get it before ovulating.

I’m sorry this isn’t a lot of help but I thought it would be some what helpful to know that 5 days of flashing is ok and the static can still come in a few days.

@Newbiemg thank you, that does help :) I’m just so fed up of DTD, and now all the times we’ve done it this week were basically pointless! I really thought I was getting close.
