Hi all

I am new here and was wondering if anyone has had the same happen to them. I know it sounds sad but tested 4 times within the past 2 days, 3 were sainsburys test and one was a clear blue, all 4 had faint coloured lines which were quite easy to see. Tested again today just to make sure and had a clear blue negative and a sainsburys negative. do you think i could be pregnant? I usually have a 30 day cycle so i am not due until wed 2nd Jan thats 3 days! i am not going to buy anymore tests for a while but just cant get it out of my head that i might be! anyone else had the same happen to them?

Sit tight - test again in a couple of days - I would put alot of money (if I were a betting lady) on it being positive.

When you test so early the pregnancy hormone is such a small quantity that it is possible that even the same brand of test may not pick it up.

Tentative COngratulations!!

chocolatespiders · 30/12/2007 17:12

my test was very faint positive but i was preg

i would try and wait and do another say on wed/thurs

best wishes

i know it is hard. i took one of my faint positive to the pharmacist in boots she must have thought i was insane

tbh a faint positive is a positive

so i would say you are, wait few days buy a clearblue and hope you get the result you clearly want

best wishes

A positive is a positive. You get false Negatives but not False positives.

I got a fient positive 5 days late and now have a lovely DD. Don't waste any more money - save it for buying cute baby things

babydust333 · 30/12/2007 18:22

Yes cant wait for that part! i will take your advice and just wait and see if my period comes x x are you TTC again?

OP posts:
callmeovercautious · 30/12/2007 19:07

No way

No, seriously, I am going to give it a few years I think, need to save some more money

chocolatespiders · 30/12/2007 19:21

yep the positive is now 4 year old dd, currently sleeping on my lap after a day out with her grandpa

babydust333 · 01/01/2008 15:13

My sister bought me one of those clearblue digital ones yesterday and it said not pregnant! i think im just starting to think that im not but will just have to wait to see if my period comes. My sister also looked at the faint positive tests that i did and said that hers were even fainter than mine when she was pregnant seccond time around.
Also if i have had an early miscarriage wouldnt i have had some bleeding by now?

ALL my 4 (including this large bump) have been negative pregnancy tests, esp. with clearblue (I preferred Sainsburys myself).

Good luck

babydust333 · 01/01/2008 15:27

Did you get a positive with sainsburys?

OP posts:
PeachyHasAFiggyPudInTheOven · 01/01/2008 15:31

yes, earlier than clearblue

Nappyhead · 01/01/2008 16:22

Hi there - just to add to what everyone else has said. I had a feint +ve and tested the next day and it was -ve. I went to the GP who did a test there and then and it was also -ve. I obviously convinced myself I wasn't pregnant. My GP said to go to the early preg unit at my local hospital in a few days just to be sure I wasn't pregnant and lo and behold I was! DS is now 2.
Good luck. x

babydust333 · 02/01/2008 14:17

Thanks Nappyhead that still gives me hope cause at the moment i am just starting to think i am not, but those lines were not in my head on those tests cause everyone says that they could see them clearly, but been negative tests for days now. just think that if i had had a chemical pregnancy that i would have started bleeding by now.

Well dont know what those faint positives were about cause came on AF today ! Booo guess i will just have to keep trying x

OP posts:
beansprout · 03/01/2008 16:03

Sorry to hear that. It could have been a chemical pregnancy where the egg is fertilised but doesn't implant. I had a week of very faint +ves before AF arrived.

Will keep everything crossed that you get a stonking great BFP very soon.

babydust333 · 03/01/2008 16:20

Thanks Beansprout same to you if your trying

Hi Babydust think I spoke to you on another thread, thats bad news your AF came!! I had the same as you faint +ves then AF arrived on due date, but I did a test the day after and still said +ve (was way confused) it is now -ve and doc thinks have had early MC, so just need to keep trying . Good luck for the future.

babydust333 · 15/01/2008 14:36
