@Izzyboo1234 be kind to yourself, its such a mix of emotions, fingers crossed for both of us in July. Im feeling the same really - half excited to be starting again, half terrified it will happened a third time.

@Annny27 yeah it really is a good distraction - we were supposed to get married in 2020, cancelled for covid then had a really rough 2 years with the MCs so it will feel good to actually have our day!

Izzyboo1234 · 27/05/2022 11:26

@PeanuttyButter thank you

@MrsF111 ttc is strange experience, I hope it works out for us all 💗 I don’t want to wish time away, but equally I want it here now.

Izzyboo1234 · 27/05/2022 11:27

@Kelb79 Thank you for your kind and supportive words. I shall check that book out too ☺️ Thank you

Frida9 · 27/05/2022 12:17

So after all my panicking and stressing over the last week about af being late turns out there was a reason, got my bfp yesterday evening! Genuinely did not think it would happen so quick after my MC in March and going to be really nervous until my 12 week scan but really hoping things work out this time.
Thank you to everyone here who's given me support, I wish everyone the best of luck with their TTC journey and hopefully I'll be seeing you all in the pregnancy threads soon x

H0peing · 27/05/2022 14:51

@PeanuttyButter That is great news that your scan went really well! Really happy for you! Pleased that you have regular scans booked in as well. They didn't want me to book Midwife or 12 week scan until they discharged me from EPU either. I guess it's standard procedure. It's all looking extremely positive! Very exciting! Although they usually seem to calculate an estimated due date based on the measurements at the 12 week scan, they count full term as anything after 37 weeks so I was told to be ready for the baby to arrive from 37 weeks and had a natural birth at 39 weeks. Not sure if that would still put you in January or not. Xx

H0peing · 27/05/2022 14:53

@Izzyboo1234 Still a bit in shock that my Rainbow is actually here to be honest. Truly grateful for her. Hoping you get your good news soon Xx

H0peing · 27/05/2022 14:56

@Frida9 Congratulations!!!🙂 Will you try to get an early scan before 12 weeks? xxxx

Frida9 · 27/05/2022 15:00

@H0peing I don't think I will, there are two places who do private scanning where I live and both want you to be about 8/9 weeks before they'll give a scan so I think I'll wait. Got my booking in appointment at the end of June, mc was 3 days before my appointment last time so that'll be a bit of a milestone.

H0peing · 27/05/2022 15:02

@Kelb79 That is extremely great news about starting IVF!!! I have a friend who just had her Rainbow baby through IVF. I'm very excited for you! Xx

H0peing · 28/05/2022 20:11

@Frida9 I hope your booking in appointment goes extremely well and that you can get a lovely, clear scan photo of your healthy baby/babies at your 12 week scan. Xx

Measuring at 7+1 today and good heartbeat. It's grown 3mm to 10.4mm since Thursday.
Feel absolutely rotten.. but happy about the reason obviously.

Kelb79 · 30/05/2022 12:51

@PeanuttyButter this is so so lovely!! Huge congratulations!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

im having a bit of a freak out today 😵‍💫 been feeling really good and positive about the IVF but had my test results back today. Consultant said all fine but when I looked at the results my AMH is only 0.5 ☹️🤷🏼‍♀️ This isn’t good right??
last year I was told it was well above average for my age so this has come as a huge shock!! Now I’m questioning whether we should be spending so much money 😵‍💫
total headf@ck 😐

Bubbles1995 · 30/05/2022 12:59

@PeanuttyButter so happy for you x

PeanuttyButter · 30/05/2022 19:07

Sorry your feeling deflated @Kelb79
Yes that AMH level is low but this is what I think. You have managed to get pregnant naturally quite recently.. I think although you might not respond to the IVF treatment as much as you would like (i'e lots of follicles) I think you have a good chance of getting a few and there's nothing to say the few they get won't be good quality.
In the end you need to think of you would regret not trying and I think you would! You said yourself you've come along way on this journey so far. Don't give up on your dream, at least not before you've tried. xx

Izzyboo1234 · 30/05/2022 21:01

@Kelb79 sorry I can’t help, I wouldn’t patronise you as I don’t have the knowledge. But I am a believer in what@PeanuttyButter has said.
life is short for what ifs 💐

Izzyboo1234 · 31/05/2022 21:35

Hey, how is everyone?

I know why they say wait a cycle, but has anyone not? Really want to be ttc again but equally don’t want to make myself vulnerable for a MC 😞 I am well aware it could happen again.

PeanuttyButter · 31/05/2022 21:52

I've never waited @Izzyboo1234
It took 2 cycles to get pregnant after my first loss, 3 after my second, 4 after my 3rd and with this last one I got pregnant first month. If your body is ready its ready and it will happen. We always went with the thought that it probably wouldn't happen but would be glad if it did x

Update on me. I've had a good day sickness wise, which has just filled me with anxiety because I've had a crappy weekend of symptoms so now you start thinking the worst. Never thought I'd be wanting the sickness back after the horrible weekend I've had.

Izzyboo1234 · 31/05/2022 22:03

Bless you, with our first I and awful sickness and then it randomly went one date abs appeared a few days later!

Thank you, we are keen to ttc and are both thinking “what will be, will be” bleeding has stopped etc and just want to be pregnant again. I have a feeling it will take a few months! Thanks @PeanuttyButter

Annny27 · 31/05/2022 22:06

@Izzyboo1234 if you had surgical management they tell you to wait because your lining will be too thin and if baby implants they will likely miscarry, so one full cycle gives your lining enough time to rebuild. If you had a natural miscarriage then I don't think there's a need to wait :)

@PeanuttyButter so glad your scan went well! I had a few days were I felt totally normal and I would worry but them a few days after I would be back nauseous again. Someone said you rbody gets used to the hormobe levels and then you feel less sick and then as the hormones rise again, you will feel sick again

Izzyboo1234 · 31/05/2022 22:11

@Annny27 thank you for the advice, yes it was natural. Felt like one of the lucky one sat in a waiting room, never thought I would
say that.

Kelb79 · 01/06/2022 11:33

Had a message back from my consultant… they said that, although the donor egg route would be quicker and potentially easier, they are confident that there is a chance to achieve success with my own eggs.

Apparently AMH is used as an indicator of how many follicles a woman will have for treatment - they’ve done scans that showed 7 pre-stims and are happy with that, egg quality can’t be predicted at all.

so onwards and upwards I guess!! I’ve booked my flights for the retrieval 🫣🫣
trying to stay positive so hitting up podcasts and meditations and getting everyone on board with positive vibes 🙏🏼

also…. I found out that my blood type (O positive) is actually susceptible to issues with low egg count and quality 😳😳 who knew?! 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

how is everyone today?? any nice plans for the weekend? I run a restaurant so work work work for me!! 🙄

PeanuttyButter · 02/06/2022 09:17

@Kelb79 you need to follow your heart. Most people would prefer to use their own eggs if they can and I think if your consultant thinks it's possible I think you should listen to them.

As for egg quality my consultant said the same to me, didn't check my amh because she said it can predict egg quality which may be one of my issues. It's so exciting that things are suddenly progressing, glad you've got your flights booked. So all being well will they retrieve and implant fresh or will they freeze and do it in more than one cycle?

Didn't know about a link about bloods and eggs etc. I'm A- and DH is B- (he's is quite rare). Wonder if there's any study's on compatability hmm.

I'm off work now until Tuesday, no plans today or the rest of the weekend. DH is working until Sunday, I feel sickly. Suppose I should have a relax and try do some housework where possible. Nothing exciting.

Hope everyone else is feeling good x
