Hi everyone!

My partner and I plan on trying for baby no. 1 from March/April time (to give me time to take folic acid, get up to date smear etc). As a newbie, when should I start using OPKs? Should I start using them now, before we are evening trying, so that I get a better idea of when I ovulate? Or is that a waste of time and I should start when we are ttc? Xxxx

I think that would be a waste of money in my opinion! If super keen I'd perhaps start temping to see when you normally ovulate?

Although honestly if your cycles are regular (eg 28 days) then all you need to do is have sex every other day from like CD10 to CD20 and you'll be covered anyway.

I'd start when you're officially trying. Start on cycle day 8, twice a day.
