Hello,

Me and my husband habe been trying for baby number 2 for over a year now. I spoke to my gp about it briefly as it's really starting to take its toll now and was told I'd need to be trying for 2 years before they looked into anything.

I honestly don't think I can wait that long 😶. This month I took a step back from all ovulation tests etc and just went with the flow but I honestly don't feel any better for it.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Your GP should be able to refer you for day 3 and 21 bloods, SA for your partner and a pelvic ultrasound for yourself if you’ve been trying for over 12 months (TTC number 2 included). Definitely follow up again and push for these tests, even if it’s for your own reassurance x

I agree with @poppet131. I'm TTC #2, on cycle 12 (and over 35) and I've had day 3 bloods, day 21 bloods, thyroid tests, chlamydia test and been referred to the fertility clinic. Guidance is for tests and referral at 12 months if you're under 35 or 6 months if you're over. Push your GP or speak to a new one.
