TTC & confused

Hi guys, I'm Amanda (31) & this is my second cycle ttc Smile
Apologies in advance for the wall of text, but I just need some help/advice! Sad

So, I'm a bit confused with my cycle atm. I've been tracking my period for years and my app is pretty spot on with my cycles. I have on average a 31 day cycle (last cycle was 29 days). According to my app this month it says I should be ovulating CD18 (26/01/22), however I noticed on CD6 (2 days post period) my CM was getting to the egg white stage already and I was feeling a little crampy. So I started OPK testing & BD'ing and I had a positive (or v. high) opk on CD12. I expected the line to be darker the following morning because I wasn't convinced it was my peak, but instead my tests since then have all been getting lighter.

On CD14 I was getting sore boobs, nausea, cramping, feeling very emotional and generally didn't feel great at all. And all day today (CD16) I've had strong cramping, sharp pains in my left ovary and fatigue. My CM is minimal but sticky & clear and I have no idea what's happening with my body Confused

My cramps are similar to my PMS/ovulation cramps, but AF is 16 days away yet.

Has anything similar happened with anyone else? Any insight/advice would be greatly appreciated because I'm so confused Sad

Not sure if I'll be any help, but you may have missed your peak in testing. For example, if you tested in the morning and it was near peak, then waited until the next morning, your peak would be over. When your test line starts to get dark it's best to test twice a day and not with your first morning wee, think most do it between 12pm-8pm. I used to do it about 10am and 5pm really depending on work times. As long as you dtd in your ovulation week you should be covered :) it's a confusing time when you're new it. Going forward you could try taking your basal body temperature (bbt) and that'll let you know that you've ovulated. Hope this helped a bit lol.
Also, I had cramping from ovulation day all the way up to my bfp and I'm 6 weeks now

Ah okay. Thanks!
I've seen so many different things online saying what time is the best time to test so it's been a bit confusing haha.
Luckily we BD'd a few times during that time so fingers crossed!
Congrats! When did you start testing for your bfp?

Yeah it's a lot of information to take in at once. I tested at 8dpo and got my bfp at 11 dpo, it was the faintest ever, barely there at all. I think most test from 7dpo buy implantation is between 6-12 days so coups be any time really

Hi OP, if you don’t get your BFP this month then I would recommend tracking your BBT. I use Ovusense and as soon as I see my temp rise then I know I’ve ovulated. It takes out a lot of the guess work and makes the TWW a little easier as I know exactly how many DPO I am x
