Hi All,

I read somewhere that if you have a BMI outside the healthy range that pregnancy tests may not detect hcg as quickly. Does anyone know anything about this? What’s your experience with this?

Hey OP when I was pg with my son I took a test when I was a week late for AF (couldn't tell you anything about earlier as I didn't poas)

It was an obvious positive but still slightly faint, I had a BMI of 40 at this point. I think if I would have tested on the day AF was due I would have had a real squinter or BFN. Any earlier would not have shown.

Hope that helps x

I have a high bmi (42) . I didn't get a positive test with a clear blue early detect test until I was a full week late
