MrsYan · 23/01/2022 07:45

I am 3 DPO so would love to join in the TWW! I am trying not to obsess over this one... it's not going well lol

What cycle is the for you? Do you have any children already? X

Oopsiedaisy80 · 23/01/2022 09:30

Hi can i join, i think i ovulated 2 days ago.. super early in my cycle so its a confusing one for me. Also accidental, we dont plan for another.. but think i have obsessed so much these few days ill almost be disappointed if im not.. gonna be a long 2 weeks

CornishSeaSwim · 23/01/2022 09:34

Yes please! I am not tracking ovulation with temps or anything, just a bit of rough maths, but entering what I think is the TWW now. Just for some background, we are TTC #1, I'm 34 and DH is 36, came off the pill in Nov '21. Fingers crossed for everyone!

daisiesblue · 23/01/2022 09:36

Ovulation day for me too!
Fingers crossed 🤞🏻😍

Chlo1995 · 23/01/2022 09:42

Hi all! Ovulation day for me too, not looking forward to the tww… I’ve had too many off them and they don’t get any less stressful do they?!

Good luck to you ladies!🤞🏼x

daisiesblue · 23/01/2022 10:06

My partner and I have only been trying for three months.
(I tried for over a year with an ex and I did the whole obsessive symptom spotting and testing thing and I promised I wouldn’t do it again)
On our first cycle I was very well behaved, I didn’t symptom spot or test until I was three days late! And to my delight I was pregnant!
However, it ended (the same day 😩) in a chemical.
I have decided to be a little more relaxed on myself now, if I symptom spot and test early and go all TTC loopy, then that’s what I shall do! I just think if I had done it the first time round I would have had a few more days with my little poppy seed ❤️

I’m glad this thread came up and I’m excited to hear your journeys and join you in the chaos that is the TWW!

Chlo1995 · 23/01/2022 10:22

Hi @daisiesblue sorry to hear about your chemical, it’s gutting to think you’ve finally got what you wanted and then it’s gone isn’t it😔

This is my first month of using ovulation tests again and it’s been driving me mad, I only got my peak yesterday on cd16, almost had a fit when it didn’t come on the predicted cd14🙈 it was a very stressful couple of days and soon made me realise why I’d stopped doing them months ago!😂

Fingers crossed for you x

tryingforbabyh · 23/01/2022 10:38

Ovulation day for me too! Been trying for over a year so not that hopeful but you never know!

daisiesblue · 23/01/2022 10:42

@Chlo1995 I spend a fair amount of time on here in the evenings lurking on posts and I have seen loads of women ready to throw the strips out the window, only to return to them eventually 😂
So many posts of people getting confusing results too!
I use them myself but I have been very lucky, I have peaked bang on time each month so far!
Have you tried tracking your temp?
I’ve thought about it but I’m useless at remembering, my partner has to leave ovulation strips on the toilet so I don’t forget 😬😂

Chlo1995 · 23/01/2022 10:59

@daisiesblue I have tried tracking temp but it’s so difficult as you have to have 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep before you take it, I’m the lightest sleeper and wake up all the time, so I’m thinking it’s not really the best choice for me! It would be ideal being able to though x

Hey ladies 1 dpo for me had a rapid peak on friday opk was negative in the morning and peaked around 2pm and negative again by around 8pm strange as thats never happened before. In regards to temping i kept forgetting to use thermometer and those official bbt wearables were too expensive so i found a smart watch which tracks bbt and you can set certain hours where it will just take your temp without having to do it manually so i have mine set for 6.30am - if that makes sense? 1st cycle using it so hopfully it gives me some good results and is reliable. Baby dust everyone xxx

daisiesblue · 24/01/2022 15:06

@LisaB22
That's very interesting! Didn't even think about smart watches!

LisaB22 · 24/01/2022 15:35

@daisiesblue
Its called Colmi T9 Thermo Smartwatch Smile

I'm 3dpo and already itching to see when I can test. Why do I turn into a crazy person this time every month 🤪🤪

Here is crazy for you.. i already done 2 tests Blush completely nuts lol
daisiesblue · 28/01/2022 00:27

@SurfWaves @Oopsiedaisy80
I am an enabler by nature so I say test away 😂

What tests are you all using?
I have a few that came with my ovulation sticks, a couple of Tesco ones and two Clearblue digitals.
My plan is to get a BFP on the cheapies then confirm with a Clearblue. The Tesco ones can be unreliable I think but I thought I better have some back ups that didn't cost too much.
But I do often think about getting a FRER or two! I just worry I'll use them all early and spend spend spend getting more 😂

Yes that was my thinking too, i just picked up the £1 cheapie from Tesco, just for the hell of it. I got my BFP with my last pregnancy on those but i heard they are unreliable too, i might test again in a couple of days.. i am feeling really bloated today like my period is due but its not due for another 9 days so not sure if that means anything, good luck all

helloworld88 · 28/01/2022 09:40

Hi can I join please Smile I ovulated Tuesday so TWW for me too. Cycle 2 but the first one I've been doing opks! My period is due a week today...I seem to have a short luteal phase. Do you think that means I can use a frer on the weekend? Says it can test 6 days before period but I'd only be 4/5 DPO Hmm

helloworld88 · 28/01/2022 09:54

Actually ignore my question! I've just read more into short luteal phases Confused
