Body playing cruel tricks

Hi everyone. Feeling very down today as my body is playing tricks on me. On cycle 3 of trying to conceive. I always had 28 day cycles like clockwork but they seem to have been longer since ttc. Between 28 and 32 days the last 3 months. I’m using the Flo app to track. According to the app, I’m two days late. Of course have tested and had two BFNs which is so upsetting because my boobs are really sore and I’m absolutely shattered. I don’t usually get these as period symptoms, I do get pretty bad cramps which haven’t happened at all. No sign at all of AF arriving so I just feel so frustrated. Sad
I’m 31 and now worrying that there is something wrong with me with cycles becoming longer. If I was pregnant, I imagine it would have shown on the tests. 34 days since last AF. I did test positive for covid on New Year’s Eve, I’m wondering if this could make my period late. Has anyone had covid then a late period? I haven’t tracked ovulation as worried about pricey tests.

Hello. It's rough isn't it Flowers

Did you come off birth control recently? As birth control usually gives really regular 'cycles' and then when you come off it, it takes a while for your natural cycle to establish itself

Hi! It’s absolutely awful isn’t it😔

I always thought my periods seemed pretty regular but I’ve been tracking for the best part of a year now and they range anywhere from 24-29 days, the last 2 cycles being 29 days with an average of 27 (apparently).

We’ve been trying for around 8/9 months and apart from a possible chemical, there’s been nothing! It’s so frustrating because everytime I think my periods late, I get my hopes up so bad just to be let down😔

I hope this month is the one for you!🤞🏼x

Thanks for your replies ladies Smile I came off the pill in about March last year, thought we would give my body some time to adjust and then start trying and it would happen - how naive!

I agree with you Chlo, those later days are agonising, it’s impossible not to get your hopes up. Baby dust to you xxx

Hi 😊
I'm also 31 and had covid over Christmas. I had my booster jab on the 14th Dec at the end of my last period.
I'm currently 14 days late for my period but negative tests, I've just done another
I ovulated this month as I was doing the test so I don't really know what is going on. GP said to call them back on Monday if still neg and no period.
It's really frustrating isn't it, I'm trying not get really pissed of with the booster jab 🤷‍♀️ I didn't have any effects from previous jabs however.
I get getting my hopes up also but the more negative tests I see the more deflated I feel. 😭
Baby dust to you all xxx

Ahhh @BexJ91 the jab messed mine up too! Not so much in cycle length but AF was so so painful, cramp wise. Because I’m ttc I’ve chose not to have my booster yet. I’m the same as you, so hard to not get hopes up and the negative tests just bring you down. Hope you get your BFP soon, keep us updated xx

@RGxo13 it’s just so upsetting, I’ve definitely had enough this cycle though! I dunno how people manage to do this for years…

Looking at your last comment I also decided not to have my booster yet, my cycles seem like they haven’t been right since I had my second dose in August😔x
