Hi all
I’m just restarting opks after stopping pill sept and now ready to take ttc seriously. Was going to try no stress approach but realized I’m not sure it’s possible !
I have had regular periods for 4 months of 27-29 day cycles. I believed I was ovulating on day 14 due to increased EWCM ( can’t believe how heavy it was been ?? Anyone else get this ?) this cycle I started OPK as wanted to confirm ovulation as I had a tube removed due to an ectopic 4 3 years ago. I was disappointed to see result on day 14 and 15 as felt I was ovulating, today day 16 looks more promising so I think maybe I ovulate later than I first thought . Is that a bad thing? With a 27-29 day cycle . I have attached my pics of opk and would appreciate any thoughts .

Thank you for reading and letting me share my thoughts !

Hi! Very similar to you, my last 2 cycles have been 29 days but my apparent average is 27, I’m currently on cd14 and had pretty low readings and I feel like it’s me doing something wrong!

I’ve had on and off twinges all day, I usually get them around ovulation and always thought that literally meant I was ovulating but clearly not🙄🙈

I’m really struggling with it as I’d stopped testing a few months ago because it was too much stress and now I remember why😂😂

I don’t necessarily think having low readings still is a bad thing as some people don’t get their peak until later!x

Chlo1995 · 20/01/2022 19:03

These are some of mine! (I switched from the tests you’re using to easy@home tests yesterday which is why there isn’t many, but my ones before were very low!)x

Maybe like me your ovulation is later than you thought?

@Chlo1995 did you find tests no good?

OP posts:
Chlo1995 · 20/01/2022 19:23

They’re good but it’s more just frustrating when you’re waiting for the peak and they don’t come when you’d expect them to haha x

BLM18 · 20/01/2022 20:30

@Chlo1995 do mine look like yours did?

I think 11 days is the shortest luteal phase that would be classed as normal so if you ovulate on day 18 and had a 29 day cycle that would still be ok

Chlo1995 · 20/01/2022 20:36

These were mine so I feel like yours are definitely darker than mine were x

@Chlo1995 but I guess you did yours before day 13 so prior to ovulation

GingerFox2021 · 21/01/2022 16:17

I always thought my ovaluation is around CD14-15. This time CD21/22. Crazy.

BLM18 · 21/01/2022 19:53

@GingerFox2021 glad I’m not the only one! Weird isn’t it . Wonder what causes it to be later ! Not sure I’ve had it this late before

@BLM18 stress can be one of the reasons. Also been to reflexologist on CD20 and she released tension from my body 😃🤷‍♀️, she said I’m overthinking, so I have a feeling it’s smth to do with it, but who knows. I think I ovulated late once before, but wasn’t properly tracking, so not sure.

BLM18 · 22/01/2022 10:17

@GingerFox2021that does make sense ! I have been pretty stressed as just moved house so would explain it

@BLM18 hi! How are you? Sorry to jump on this old post I'm just wondering if you cycle was a one off longer? Mines is very strange my OPK's are still 0.17 on CD14 x

BLM18 · 13/03/2022 08:31

Hi @RMS0209
Since Jan I am ovulating later and cycles getting longer . Feb cycle was 30 days and march longest Ever of 34 days . I’m blaming late ovulation. It seems since I took seven seas for a month this happened so I’m stopping the vits to see what happens

RMS0209 · 13/03/2022 09:04

@BLM18 hi, thanks so much for getting back to me!
Dec & Jan was a standard 14 days and I was getting a positive OPK.
I had covid at the end of Jan so I didn't ovulate until CD19 in Feb! eek.
I thought March's cycle would be back to normal but CD15 now.. hopefully it starts to get darker soon and the both of us get normal cycles back Smile

BLM18 · 13/03/2022 09:06

@RMS0209 it’s strange isn’t it! Have the length of your cycles changed

OP posts:
RMS0209 · 13/03/2022 09:20

@BLM18 Jan was 27 days and then 2 days spotting then 7 days AF (after covid) Feb was 31 days then 2 days spotting then 6 days AF x

RMS0209 · 13/03/2022 09:36

@BLM18 what day did you peak for march? CD 15 still big O on the clear blue for me & cheapie OPK's are at 0.26 😔

BLM18 · 13/03/2022 12:02

@RMS0209 it was day 21/22 😞

Hi, sorry to jump on but I was previously in a similar situation with the Seven Seas vitamins! I took them for two months and my cycles too got messed up but the same has also happened with just Folic Acid so who knows. But I can also recommend the Boots ovulation tests! They’re a bit more ££ as I had like you again used just a cheap ovulation tests from eBay but realised actually they were pretty crap and often didn’t even show any lines and would take a good 20 mins to even progress. This caused me to get quite upset as previously I thought I had a very normal, regular cycle with quite physical tell tale signs. However since using the boots tests everything has been fine and have since successfully found my peak every month!

RMS0209 · 13/03/2022 14:20

@BLM18 oh no. Do you use pre mom or anything to upload cheapies? I'd be keen to see yours if you do.
I am taking impryl at the moment also did last month I wonder if that would change anything cycle wise?? X
