I found out last Wednesday and the closest appointment was today, so 6 days.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 18/01/2022 21:32

3 days. Although we chose to wait longer to think about our options

3 day after second scan and it was fine, cleared very quickly afterwards, had like you an incomplete miscarriage so had been bleeding 3 weeks by then.

I think the Epu is unreasonable to make people have two scans a week apart when it's definitely a miscarriage.

I had a complicated loss, suspected molar and once it was confirmed that it was no viable I had surgical management on the day a few hours later. I believe it would have been later if I'd chosen to be asleep for the procedure.

I waited 3 days for mine but I think that might have also been due to PCR tests at that time being slower and I had to wait for a negative result before they would add me to the list. No option is ‘good’ in this scenario and I am very sorry you are going through this but I found the surgical option the least worst as I didn’t know anything about it. I had minimal bleeding afterwards too and no pain. Flowers

@Justkeepswimming20 you can't TTC until you stop bleeding (infection risk and infection can impact your fertility).

Otherwise, it's more about when you are emotionally ready .

Also takes a while for HCG to disappear from your body so make sure to test until negative. Can take a long time (9 weeks for me)

Hi,

I have just had surgical management (2 days ago) for a missed miscarriage.
I want to try again quite soon. Should I start taking folic acid again straight after?

Thanks

Sorry for your loss.

My period came back 6 weeks after my surgical management.

I started ttc after I stopped bleeding (3 weeks after) but I didn't conceive then. Conceived 8 months later.
