So today I took an opk test but this is my first time using them so I’m not exactly sure how they work, does this look positive to you?

Hey, are you able to upload a better picture? ☺️

SmellyOldOwls · 18/01/2022 20:44

No but maybe in a day or two, keep trying

Iamneverfull · 18/01/2022 20:45

I think it's positive!

Thanks everyone this is why I’m a little confused…I was pretty certain I was pregnant this month but then what I thought was af arrived on the 11th, I had a heavy flow for 3 days so guessed I was out this month…the bleed only lasted 3 days then just stopped which is very unlike me as I usually have 5-8 day cycles. Then yesterday I had some pink jelly like spotting and this afternoon these opk gave me this result but it’s only 4 days after my bleed so surely I can’t be ovulating right now? I’m so confused ha ha what do you think what are your opinions on this

Is the right line the test line? And the faint line the control? If so it's definitely positive.

lakejupiter · 18/01/2022 21:15

No this is a negative OPK @Cezlen17 - for a positive OPK the test line needs to be darker than the control line. We often have a bit of LH in our systems at various points of the month so it's normal to get a feint line like this outside of ovulation - any time I do an opk test I get a v v feint line like this and then during my fertile week it gets darker until the test line is darker than the control line

Cezlen17 · 18/01/2022 21:16

The control line is the dark one and faint line is the test line, it’s an ovulation test not a pregnancy test x

Definitely negative x

CherylPorter350 · 18/01/2022 21:34

Definitely negative, keep testing

Attached a pic of my positive from this month

Is this positive???
MummyMe87 · 18/01/2022 22:29

If this is an OPK, 100% negative. Test lunch time and evening and you need the test line to be as dark or darker than the control line

Thank you everyone I’m still trying to get into the swing of things as I’m new to all of this even though I have a 4 year old! Xx
