Hi ladies, I am on my first medicated cycle as we are doing TSI. My trigger shot was 12 days ago but I have been testing it out and I was sure it was gone out of my system as I got a negative test this morning. I took another test when I got home and there is a line. I am just wondering if anyone has experience in how long it takes for the trigger to leave your body. Pic attached. Top pic was this evening, bottom pic was this morning.

Update: I did 3 tests at lunchtime. Neurotic I know. I did a digital 2 days ago, and it said 'not pregnant' Anyone think this could be a trigger, or could I be pregnant? I am 13 days post trigger.

Eeek I see a line on both of them & positive digi I'd say your pregnant! Congratulations!

It could be a few days ago that your levels weren't high enough for a positive digital and thats why it came back negative :)

Hopefull1981 · 19/01/2022 13:03

Thanks you. I really hope so. I am trying to stay calm as it could be the trigger.

I don't understand this "trigger" you're talking about

You're pregnant according to those tests

Congratulations Thanks

oohmamama · 19/01/2022 13:16

Trigger shot would usually be gone by day 13. Did you only have one negative test before 2 positives?

Hopefull1981 · 19/01/2022 13:38

@rainforestfriendsI had a medicated cycle. I took letrozole on day 2-6 and then a trigger injection to ovulate. We then do DTD for 3 days :-). The trigger contains HCG, so it can give false positives. @oohmamama I had 2 days of negatives, then I started seeing a shadow of the line of the IC yesterday evening.

What is the trigger shot?

OmgIThinkILikeYou · 19/01/2022 13:47

Ignore me I cross posted.

If you had 2 days of neg then surely that means it was out of your system?? 🥳🥳🥳

Hopefull1981 · 19/01/2022 14:05

@OmgIThinkILikeYou I really hope so.

I would expect the trigger to be gone esp as you had a negative before this point. Looking promising so I will keep my fingers crossed, come back and update with hopefully darker lines in the days to come

cherrytreecottage · 19/01/2022 14:40

Do you know the strength of your trigger shot? I was told it takes 1 day per 1,000ug to leave your system. I had 10,000ug and therefore was told not to test until at least 10 days later as this could give a false positive.

Hopefull1981 · 19/01/2022 14:52

@cherrytreecottage Mine was 10,000ug taken 13 days ago. I am 11DPO.

In which case it should have left your system 2-3 days ago..meaning this shouldn't be a false positive! Grin

Hopefull1981 · 19/01/2022 15:24

@cherrytreecottage thank you so much for the information. Driving myself nuts googling the half life of gonasi f. :-)

Hey ladies Still holding on here. I think today’s is the same as yesterday but at least not any lighter. The clear blue got darker.

Yey if the clear blue has got darker I think this is a positive! Keeping fingers and toes crossed!

cherrytreecottage · 20/01/2022 17:22

Congratulations @Hopefull1981 I'm sure this is positive! Are you with a private clinic or NHS?

Hopefull1981 · 20/01/2022 17:32

@cherrytreecottage I am in Ireland with a private clinic. This was our first medicated cycle. I did a conceive plus on Monday night and it was a squinter, did another today and it has two clear lines. I still don’t believe it. GP is going to do weekly HCG tests on me now. I had 1 MMC and 2 chemical pregnancies last year. The anxiety is high. Definitely a POAS addict now.

cherrytreecottage · 20/01/2022 18:13

Ah I was about to say will the clinic do an early HCG test for you. I had ICSI but was in a similar position when I was 12DP ET; clinic ran a HCG and my levels were 125 so they confirmed it wasn't as a result of the trigger shot!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Hopefull1981 · 20/01/2022 19:56

@cherrytreecottage my period is due Saturday so the consultant said to test on Sunday and let them know the results. They have advised to double the dose of cyclogest from today though. Fingers crossed.

Hopefull1981 · 26/01/2022 18:04

Hi all just an update to say mine turned out be another biochemical pregnancy. The lines started to get lighter on Sunday/Monday and AF arrived today. We start another medicated cycle this month. Onwards and upwards I guess. Thanks to everyone who commented x
