Faint lines - 19DPO

Hi All,

Just need some advice as I am confused please!

Me and my partner DTD on NYE (day of ovulation according to Flo and CM) - this was the only time we DTD this month. I know I could have ovulated late, however it must have only been around 5 days late max for me to be pregnant, meaning I would still be 14 DPO at a minimum. I am 4 days late for my period on CD 33.

I have taken many pregnancy tests and they are progressing slightly, but they are still so faint for how far along I should be.

I had a chemical pregnancy last month, and am scared this could be happening again? Is it possible my tests are just faint due to late ovulation?

Thanks all, sorry for rambling! :)

Do you have any photos of your tests?
You would expect a darker line if you’re late for your period but some women just have faint lines and they don’t get that dark. If there is some sort of progression then that’s not a bad sign. Everything crossed for you.

Hi OP,

It’s totally possible! HCG is so different for everyone. Peoples baseline hcg can be anywhere between 0-5 and then it’s doubles every 24-48hrs so it varies there too. Could just be taking its time. I found this website reassuring, it shows % of positives depending on DPO and what sort of tests people got ie faint/standard/strong

Maybe test again in 2 days and see how you get on? Could always ask the Gp for a hcg blood test too?

Best of luck and I really hope it’s your BFP ✨ xx
