Line eyes.. confused

Hey, this is cycle 14 of ttc for me and I have waited until af is due to test. She was due yesterday or today but no sign or feeling of her yet. I have no idea when I ovulated as I stopped tracking.

I just had a feeling this month was the month but when I took a test, this came up where i know it should be a blazing positive by now as af is due.

Is this just a horrible evap? It's so faint I'm unable to see if there's any colour to it.

This cycle I have also had covid and 2 bad sickness bugs a week after each other so I was prepared for a messed up cycle.

Due to the sick bug I last had unprotected sex 12 days ago so I'm guessing something more would have been showing by now

How long after the test was the picture taken? The line does look quite colourless in the picture (evaps don’t usually have colour), but covid can causes havoc with cycles so it’s entirely possible that you ovulated late and are less than 12dpo, sperm can remain alive inside you for a few days. Probably best to just wait a couple of days and retest

@WorriedGiraffe It was taken about 5 mins after I took the test but it came up about 3 mins after.
This has actually just crossed my mind about maybe I just ovulated late and the last time may have hit it.
I'm going to give it 2 days and if af doesn't show I will test again. (Already itching to test tonight though 😩) thank you for your reply x

My tests were very faint to begin with, on the day af to was due, but they quickly got darker. My baby is 1 now.

Under any other circumstances, I’d say that’s a lovely line but recently FRER have just been awful and even I do a control (on say, 2dpo) I seem to get a line. It’s so weird. But it’s also what it would look like if you were pregnant so fingers crossed!

@MorkandMandy thanks for your reply. Yes I think I've seen so many bad evaps lately on these boards on frers that I really don't trust it. Time will definitely tell! I'll post my update as soon as I can get another frer!

Fingers crossed for you OP! I'm in this same position too (faint greyish line on FRER this morning, can't tell if there's any pink!). Not sure what DPO I am, but in the past when I've been pregnant I've had very clear pink lines on tests from 10DPO. So hard to know!

@cumulonimbus523 it's horrible isn't it! When are you going to test again? I have everything crossed for you! I've never had a line like this before and I've had 14 months of multiple negative tests (I used to test a few times before af)
Time really will tell!

@naevo honestly, probably tomorrow morning with FMU again. I have to say I've yet to work out how I'd feel if it was a BFP so in that sense I just want an answer. I agree, never seen a line like it on an FRER whether I've been pregnant or not! I so hope it works out for you.

@naevo sorry to say that looks exactly like my test a couple of months ago. This was on 12dpo, and AF came the next day.
I put it down as an evaporation line.

@whomoon I agree, our tests look identical! These are the cruel evaps I've seen on these boards before.. my fingers are crossed but deep down I think I know!

@naevo please don't apologise and I really hope me saying that didn't come across as being insensitive to your TTC journey. BFN on FRER test this morning for me, before I took it I looked at the test and could see a grey line on it which remained after I dipped it - didn't develop into anything whereas. Do you know when you're testing again? I really hope you can find out either way soon.

@cumulonimbus523 noo not at all! I completely understand! I'm glad you got your answer either way. I'll definitely have to look out for that line before I test. I've potted my fmu and I'm about to go on a hunt for a frer, hit and miss in my area as to where you can get them! 🤞🏼

frer was a stark white negative today. Absolutely gutted. This was the reason I waited until af was due yet my body has still trolled me ☹️ also started spotting straight after that last test. Thank you for your help and advice everyone. I really appreciate it xx

Sorry it was a BFN :( It could be covid messing with your cycle a bit. I haven't had it, but after my 2nd jab my cycle was 49 days!
